Just a thought - has anyone thought about what they are going to do further down the line when the money turns into hundreds?

I think im going to go and have a chat to some of the local wholesalers and see what they have and what I can mebbe turn a decent profit on. I was thinking Xmas stuff but I doubt I'll be able to beat the £1 shop ...

    Something to think about?

Personally I'm going to do matched betting... it has taken me a little while to get my head round but I can't wait to get started now - just need to get enough in my pot to get started! :T :D

Matched betting is explained here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=41

Same as Kath- I'm planning to get my brain around matched betting and have a go at that. I'm aiming to have a minimum of £100 in the pot which I can use for MB and see where that takes me.

How do I go about joining it and getting started? Thanks

    Hi Princessa it's http://www.swapitshop.com/cgi-bin/swapitshop/userhome.cgi

I'm top of the list again - yippee! though my total will be going down now because b/f has finally fixed my camera so I can list all my freebies on ebay!
So thank-you for the ebay fee calulator Dave, it will be very helpful - also thank-you for the tip about old windows cd's ben - I think i've have some somewhere!!!! I would have thrown them out as well. (I have thanked your posts but this thread's so long now - I can't find them again to quote!)

Also thank-you to the lady who mentioned the Nescafe beans - I don't buy Nescafe but they do at work so I'll try and get some of the tokens and get some 'rewards'!

Rebl43 are they the company that took over from choice vouchers? If so I think that they are being taking over by another company - so it might be all right? I hope so for you and everyone else who's affected. :grouphug:

    Hello everyone!!

Unfortunately I'm going to have to put this challenge on hold until my broadband is up and running again. I spent 50 mins on phone to talk talk and they still can't fix it but pc is now working which is a step in the right direction. I'm just typing this at college (doing 2 hr a wk eve course) while tutors not looking.

Thanks again for this post Emily. You've really made me get my thinking cap on and it was great to try matched betting coz it had been on my to-do list for about 6 months!!

If my internets working again by mid November then I will join u hard working peeps again.

This thread is fascinating. Good luck to everyone doing the challenge. I understand that there is a 10 p listing day on ebay on 19/10 (thursday).

Some-one needs to get their act sorted at e-bay

Indeed it is a 10p listing day, however ebay are under the impression we are still in September:p
Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO
  • This i can't count but my luck seems to be up at the moment (first time ever at just 32!)

Have a negative jar at work, so if anyone on our team (four people are doing this) says something bad about one of us or swears then its 10p. in about 2 months we got over £40 (sounds so bad when its put like that). We put a bet on for Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal to win and got nearly £200- that includes a £100 winning bonus, but can't remember which bookies that was with- will see if i can out tomorrow, so that £40 for new shoes (off ebay of course being a good dfw)

And am just waiting for one person to pay from last nights sales (and thats a 99p sale)

Just know a huge bill will drop through the door tomorrow

  • Hi everyone, I'm a complete newbie. Started looking at this thread last night and sounds like a great challenge. Any ideas to get me going? I have sent away for some freebies so thought I could sell these on ebay. Does anyone have a link for the NOTW Bingo and Match Betting which sounds interesting

  • Such a late starter but can I join in now? I'll start by selling some apples from the drive.

Excellent! Just made £9.17 from things on eBay that cost me zero. I'm on the lookout for eBay stuff now to quickly relist and make a profit and will be hitting the charity shops next weekend. Just to be clear- I'm selling a lot of stuff on eBay so I'm deducting the £9.17 from "free stuff" from my monthly eBay/Amazon challenge otherwise I'll be counting my proceeds twice and that's no good!
