Frugal_Fox wrote:In terms of the weeks - just go with what suits you - at the moment the weekly amounts are quite low, so its feasible that you could raise the amounts needed - but obviously this will change as the challenge goes along! I only put next weeks target in as I started right at the start - and its a good leveller for all the newbies to aim for.
Apologies to waveydave for missing you out and benedictadams for your total. I was just doing battle with a HORRIBLE ebayer who is threatening me.... all because I dared to ask for a refund as the goods hadn't arrived. His last email started with the opener - 'Dear Saddo' and ended up by telling me to 'run away like a quiet little girl and get a life' !!!! - so I was a little distracted tonight!
On a brighter note.... I start my new job this week working in Monsoon... oooo lovely things....
Why can't all people on ebay be like the people on this thread?Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
Well Bionic man has just sold for £37 + 11.50 postage to Canada
Giving me a starting total (after ebay and paypal fees removed) of:
£34.89  :j
BTW - a usefull tool if you want to calculate how much you have been charged ( or will be charged) by ebay is Ebay fee calculator on the Goofbay site. Theres also some other good ebay related tools and utilities on there0 -

The idea of the challenge is to make money from nothing... so the first £1 needs to be generated from nothing... it can't cost you anything to get it! So... selling something on ebay that you had previously paid for is a nobut selling anything you've got for free is a yes! :j Of course, once your profits are underway you can buy items with them and hope to sell them on at a higher price
So if your dad didn't ask you to pay for the fabric - that's a great start! :T
Kath
No my dad didnt ask me to pay for the fabric so thats a good start I guess!! I have also been 'donated' a handful of shirts (next, ben sherman, M&S etc) by my boyfriend who doesn't wear them any more, if I ebay them is it all profit?? But am I right in saying that the kids buggy I have on there for sale can't be counted cos I bought that in the first place??
Have just spent the last half hour or so ironing and taking photos of shirts!!
Am interested to see how I go!!

Hi Rachie, welcome!
You are right about the rules, so good luck!:smileyheaRachel xx0 -
I know it's a bit late but I'm going to join in too!
I might start by ebaying a freebie and see where i go from there.
