Thanks for that FF! I am actually at a higher total than is in my sig... but am waiting until all ebayers have paid/ i know how much postage is before I can calculate my profits! :D

If any lovely msers were at Bridgend car boot sale today :hello: maybe I saw you! For everyone else... this is a year round car boot :T in a multistorey car park... fab for all weathers and always packed with sellers and buyers whenever I've been! I got a couple of bargains I hope... branded kids clothes that I hope will sell for much more on ebay etc. Also a full set of 21 1970s/1980s disney books - original style printed in america etc - for £1  Yep, I thought she meant £1 each and was hoping to haggle her down but my trusty friend sussed that she actually meant £1 for the lot... just wanted to be rid :T Similar sets have gone on ebay recently for upwards of £20 :D

Have a good week everyone! :)

Hi there, at the moment I am on a mission to get lots of cash stored up so am enthralled by this idea!! Am i right in assuming that you cant just sell off loads of stuff on ebay to get money?? I have one unwanted item (a piece of leather fabric that my dad said I could sell and keep the profit) on ebay alongside other stuff I have bought in the past and am now selling on... apologies for not reading the whole thread its just sooooo long!!

Anyway, I have a bid on the fabric so could be well on my way to getting my first £1!! Is everyone else keeping a spreadsheet on this to see how they are doing? I think this is a fab idea!!

I want to be counted in but with a little trepidation as I am not sure what I am doing..... yet!!

Oooh... up to you I'd say!!! The idea is to double it each week and get over £1000 in 11 weeks... but... why not see how quickly you can do it?!?! I'm following emily's dates in the first post even though I was a bit slow getting started :o ... you could just alter the dates if you wanted! :)

    Welcome rachie! :)

The idea of the challenge is to make money from nothing... so the first £1 needs to be generated from nothing... it can't cost you anything to get it! So... selling something on ebay that you had previously paid for is a no :( but selling anything you've got for free is a yes! :j Of course, once your profits are underway you can buy items with them and hope to sell them on at a higher price :D So if your dad didn't ask you to pay for the fabric - that's a great start! :T

    Kath :)

I am avidly following this thread, you're all doing great! I'm not joining in specifically but have been doing more ebaying etc since I've been reading. I've asked OH to have a rummage through his software to see if there's any we can sell!

In terms of the weeks - just go with what suits you - at the moment the weekly amounts are quite low, so its feasible that you could raise the amounts needed - but obviously this will change as the challenge goes along! I only put next weeks target in as I started right at the start - and its a good leveller for all the newbies to aim for.

Apologies to waveydave for missing you out and benedictadams for your total. I was just doing battle with a HORRIBLE ebayer who is threatening me.... all because I dared to ask for a refund as the goods hadn't arrived. His last email started with the opener - 'Dear Saddo' and ended up by telling me to 'run away like a quiet little girl and get a life' !!!! - so I was a little distracted tonight!

On a brighter note.... I start my new job this week working in Monsoon... oooo lovely things....
