Can I just add something for those of you wanting to do Ebay auctions. I had a friend who listed (and sold) empty perfume bottles. Aparently some are quite collectable.

    Good luck everyone

Aha! I have just realised that I had requested £10 credit into my betfair account from pigsback. So.... I've withdrawn it from betfair and it should be in my account next week (and not refused like smelly fhm people!!! ;) ) so that's me back to £10! :j And it was from points that only just came through from signing up to mansion (no money involved) so hopefully that counts! :A

Car boot sale and charity shop weekend still on then..... :j :rotfl:

Excellent, well done :D - I'm glad you didn't lose out altogether :T
  • i also read somewhere that someone had just over £4. for a tescos plastic carrier bag on ebay.

but also ..i have noticed that carrier/paper bags from high profile shops and designers are selling on ebay ..bloomingdale paper carrier bags are round about the £10. mark....

so what i was thinking if you could blag..or hunt out some designer named carrier/paper bags... you could make some money there...also the designer suit dress bags.. you know the type.. sell very well on ebay as well...

  • This challenge is ace! I havnt had chance to read the whole post but my brother who is following it said that Ann Summers had been mentioned?

I do Ann Summers Parties, if anyone in the Greater Manchester Area wants one then we can come to some kind of agreement over the 10% discount (ie split it cash and discounts or summit) PM me and we will go from there!

That's right :D - you have met the first target by finding £1 - now try and find a way of adding to it for nothing or trying to double it.

Welcome along and good luck :j
  • Just got two mystery shopper jobs - have to make calls. Because we dont pay phone bill (hubbys firm does) does it mean I can add these to my total?

I would say list them on Ebay. I have got a load of make-up and toiletry items that I have just sold on Ebay and they went like hot cakes. Ok so some of them only got a couple of quid and then a pound for postage but if they are free anyway then you've got nothing to lose :D

Thanks - I will list them and some free books I have tomorrow and report back - this is fun-thanks again for such an inspiring challenge.

The start off rules seem a bit harsh. Just grab a pound and start to invest it.
