Wow well done!!!!!!!! I very rarely go to tescos as it is so far away but when I do I look on the thread to see what R&Rs there are but have never found one yet, you have done really well. Well done again.

G'day all, sat up last night reading all eleven pages of this thread (well it was 11 last night !) and decided I'd love to do this as well. So signed up to FHM last night but didn't get £10 credit until this afternoon and I have just requested to withdraw my £20 winnings ! So that's a good start to the challenge in my opinion - just hope it's all as easy as that. Good luck to everyone else.
Started the new centuary £18,000 in debt : July 2008 we're now DEBT FREE (apart from the mortgage!) :j
2011 Update: Taken a car on finance - first serious credit commitment in a long time but as were more financially secure than in the past it was a calculated risk - 4 years and counting ! :)

Wow - I can't believe how well everyone seems to be doing.

I've spoken to Emily and I will be posting an update on how everyone is doing every Monday (which is the weekly target day).

If you want to be included in the 'update' you need to put details of the challenge in your signature - as this is what I will be going by. Please PM if you'd rather not be included - or if I 'forget' you and you want to be in!!

Just so you know... there are currently 19 of us doing the challenge and our total money generated to date is £254.98 - which is fantastic.

I've started match betting with a £25 bet this afternoon which - if I've done it correctly - means a free £25 (after placing a free bet - really hard to grasp matched betting but then after about 4 days of solid studying the penny slowly starts to sink...). I'll let you know if I get the free £25!! Luv Jxxx

Jpet77 - Let me know about the matched betting - do you actually have to gamble to do this? I've read a bit about it - but can't be sure if its gambling or not...

Frugal Fox... matched betting does involve placing bets but I wouldn't consider it gambling as once you have placed the bets there is no danger of losing all your money. You do have to be careful to make the correct calculations and place the correct bets... this is the only place where there is danger of losing your money lol! There are lots of people over on the mached betting threads who will guide you through it though, and there is a spreadsheet to do the calculations for you.

It depends really what your definition of gambling is... but matched betting certainly doesn't rely on any luck or getting the 'correct' outcome. If the bets are placed correctly you will make the money whatever the outcome.

I haven't done it yet but will look into it more when my pot of money grows a bit :)
