So is your husband hoping on selling the watch for a profit? £7 p&p is quite high, was it an international seller?

  • Hi guys :j
I was having probs with the fhm site also, but im wondering, there's a few websites where u have to put a £10 deposit in to get £10 free, is this classed as using your own money as im sure u can withdraw it all?

I got my first £1.50 from pigsback, now im gonna sell a phone on ebay that a mate gave me a while back cos mines broke! its a bit bashed but sure i'll get something! :rotfl:

The fhm site has had problems because so many people have signed up but hopefully it will be working soon.... I'm off to try it in a mo!

The websites that you mean, where you need to deposit money to get free bets and/or cashback would class as using your own money. I've not seen one yet that doesn't require you to wager at least some of what you've deposited, and you would be using money from other sources! Once you have £10 (hopefully from fhm) then you could use that to deposit... there are some on quidco that will offer £30 cashback for depositing and playing £10, and you might even win more :T Thing is, then you have to wait a month or two for your cashback from quidco

    Good luck everyone!!

  • Hi - I would like to join in this too. I have registered with FHM - let's see what happens there. Also, we used to have a library at work when we could all swap our books but it has been stopped (as my company has hugely shrunk in size). Found some travel books that no-one wanted. Put them up for sale on ebay, hoping to generate a few pennies.... Need to figure out how to do a signature now...
  • Woohoo - have a bidder on two of my books already...

  • i just want to say good luck to everyone.... i am watching this thread...as at the end of the day..as the saying goes wheres there a will there's a way... so i am sure you will al do it...

i have some suggestions...that might work.....to increasing yuor money..

why dont you host a party.... you know the type...clothes... anne summers... jewelry....etc.....

as the money you allready have... you could use for nibbles ..bottle of blonk etc..... then hopefully you should get that back and more with the commision you get...

also why dont you do a clothes swap party.... with family and friends.....you might find you could swap for a better branded or named item... which could be worth more money when sold on....hope that makes sense...

also another way of getting money from scratch....is collecting alu...drinks cans.... and then cashing them in...
not glamourous.. and yes you do need to collect quite a lot.....but its not costing you anything to collect them from family ..friends..workplace.... or even when you are walking to the shops etc... keep an extra carrier bag for cans
even if you only get an extra £1. you £1. that you didnt have in the first place..

also you could use your first couple of quid to buy ingredients...and make some sweets ..cakes etc....and present them nicely packaged and sell them in owrk..to friends etc....you can get some recipes from the os section.. or go to the libary and get some cookery books... or books on organising fetes etc.. as they normally got recipies in them...

I'm just listed 4 books on amazon that I bought at a charity shop and entered the price as £0.01 as this was the lowest market price for each item. Does that mean that I'm selling each book for a penny? - sorry if this is obvious but brain is frazzled from staying up half the night looking at matched betting!!
