  • Good point. Do we technically have to double our money in one transaction or can we make lots of little pennies and put them all together??

I would say no, but it's still a fair amount of money to accumulate in one week when we get to the end of Nov/start of Dec, especially if you haven't made your target in previous weeks.

Can we sell the three email addresses from ukbeccies post to other spammers and make some money that way?
Fiscal drag, that's my problem. Too many people dragging on my fiscals.
  • Hi - have decided to give this a go as well.

First £10 now on its way from Screenselect / Lovefilm offer

How cool!! - My Horse of the Year Show tickets just sold on Ebay for the Buy it Now price of £50!! :j The price after paypal credit card fee is £48.10 and I vaguely remember seeing something last night about an ebay fee of £0.55 (does this seem right for something of that amount?) Well that leaves £47.55 which is what I've put on my signature (if ebay fee is more then will edit).

I've coloured nearly half my chart in!!!:j

I too am concerned about the latter weeks of this challenge. I definitely don't think that we should rule out matched betting though as mentioned by someone earlier. That's the only way I can think of raising that sort of 'free' money.

    Yippee £47.55!!:j

OMG, I've been at work all day and the thread has gone mad!!! :D

Right, I will post the ground rules on the first post so everyone is clear about it.

Welcome to all of you new challengers - nice to have you on board :T

(trying to remember all of the questions) - To be honest, at the moment I am already covered until the end of October and some people are even further along the challenge so that gives some times to get ahead of ourselves.

The money doesn't have to be doubled everytime, just find ways of getting more money for nothing :D - personally I'm going to go down the wholesale route when it gets to the big cash.

With the matched betting, I'm personally starying away from it but that's just because I don't really understand it and don't want to do it wrong and lose anything so I think it's up to the individual if they want to do this or not. You would however need some money as a base to do this which would need to be created from nothing and therefore you couldn't use your own money.

I think that is all the questions answered for now, I will post the rules on the opening post later on.

I had a really big incentive today to succeed in this challenge - I had a letter from Capital One saying that my interest rate on my card is going up to 34.94% APR from November  - I've got under £1,000 on there so I really need to clear this :D

My £10 cheque from FHM has arrived so this will go straight into my bank tomorrow. Unfortunately I was really busy at work today so I didn't get a lunch and couldn't look round the charity shops but I will definitely do it tomorrow.

(great idea about the 21 week thing - a million would be lovely :D;) )
  • Congratulations jpet :j

You're already acheived the target for 6th November and not far from the week after. :j

I think taking the £47 as one lump of cash and trying to double could be harder. But if you split it into small amounts and try to double each amount - as an example 9 lots of £5 buy things for £5 and try to sell them for £10.

FHM have rejected my withdrawal request.... seems they've changed the t&c so that roulette doesn't count when playing through your winnings  Marting seems to think its because so many people on mse signed up after it was in the tip... well done emily for getting in there before the rush :T

I'm now off to see how much of that £10 I can extract by playing other games... I can see my total going down!

Had a browse of charity shops but nothing much really :(

Its a good point about the doubling of large amounts though... will have to get thinking!!
