  • just seen on ebay the person who is selling the paperclip has actually sold one!

    *Sticks his hand up"

I cannot tell a lie, 'twas I that bought the clip that started september_girl's challenge (if september_girl is her moniker here too). I'm already selling so much on ebay that it'd be very difficult to separate out a £1 thread from the rest, so I'm just going to lurk and keep an eye on how you guys do instead.

One thing to remember though, if you do start off by selling something on ebay, or further down the line, as well as postage costs, there are listing fees and paypal fees, if you get paid that way.

Good luck to all, this is one of the few threads I'm going to bookmark.

    Regards

Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
    Should OF, would OF
. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.
  • I'd like to join in with this if I may?

I need to work out how to get my first £1 - I also couldn't sign up with FHM without providing ID. I see others have had the same problem

Wouldn't it be great we could double every week for 21 weeks. That would take us up to £1million.:j :j
  • Please could someone explain to me how these free sim cards work.

Do you need to add money to the card to get the free minutes and texts? Why would someone buy these on ebay if they are available for free?
  • You do need to top up to get the minutes/messages. Just the initial sim is free.

It's a promotion, not everyone knows you can get free sim cards.

Personally I'm happy with it, as I can make some money out of it! I sold 19 sims last week that I got free for £10 (but haven't included these on here as I sold them before the challenge started)

  • Thanks littlestar,

Would you mind if I ordered some and had a go at selling them too? It's your idea and I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes or get in the way of your selling in any way.

I'm also going to read the match betting thread again. I didn't understand it all the first time I looked at it. Would this be within the rules of this challenge though as you have to upload some funds to get the free bets?
  • Where's the 'no thanks' button?

    beccie please delete your post.

Of course not!! It's not my idea I think every DFW has cottoned onto it!

Have to give ehallett the judgment on this one. I'd say we keep away from matched betting for this thread.

  • I don't want to jump the gun or anything but, I think everyone should be thinking now about how they are going to double their money in the later stages. It's relatively easy to double a small amount of money, but when we're talking hundreds of pounds it maybe a bit trickier.

    Anybody had any thoughts yet????
  • Good point. Do we technically have to double our money in one transaction or can we make lots of little pennies and put them all together??
