I'm thinking of switching banks to get the £50 offered by first direct. Any advice anyone? (or if you can point me in the right direction that would be great too)...I've had the same account for over 17 years now, but don't know why I'm so loyal to the bank I'm with...I did go in yesterday and told them about the first direct offer of £50 if you open an account. I asked if they would give me £50 to stay- they said no, but it was worth a try!

Also, I don't know if it's mentioned anywhere else but I saw a thingtoday that if you open an online HSBC savings account by 19th Nov (min £500) you get a £20 John Lewis voucher. Hope this is of some use to somebody.

Will dig out some more stuff to list on Monday, got a few bits and pieces, even if its a 99p listing 5p saved is 5p!!
I did get charged 15p for a listing, got the confirmation email but it never appeared on ebay or in my accout and surprisingly it never sold, how do I tell ebay and ask for a refund?

Didn't work for me tonight but there's always next week! Its quite nice buying it from my mfn money, I haven't wasted money from my budget but I still get the excitement!
