Hello!!!
I think I'm back!!:D PC seems to be working at the mo. so fingers crossed.
I'm not going to actively do anything for the challenge tonight coz I've got hundreds of e-mails to go through and I want to have a read of what everyones been up to.
Can't wait to get stuck back in though and I'm still ahead of target so I need to get my thinking cap on about the big bucks in the last 2 weeks.

its just a box set of horror dvds, nothing exciting, but i know i could probably triple my money on them
the item i listed on ebay has the 'secret' code on it
as will all the items i listed
finally the table is selling for 99p

has 18 watchers so hope there's a fight at the endDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
The 18 watchers will all be fellow money for nothing challengers wanting to know how much you get for it!
My stuff has sold, was going to list more tonight but it's half term and I'm too tired! Hopefully made another £30 or so on ebay, and recycled two of my boyfriends old phones that had been sitting in a drawer so hoping for more money there...Is anyone else finding it hard going?! I have moments where I'm inspired, and others when it exhausts me!!! But, I'm thrilled to have made around £200 from nothing...Will update signature when the cash comes rolling in!

Tell me about it! I find it frustrating - not the challenge itself, but the fact that I have to rock my brains (oh, and it is tough) what to buy/ do, so to sell at a profit.
My 'earnings' might even drop as a couple of days ago I went to a charity shop in Guilford, and, I thought, got a bargain of 3 ladies hand bags. I was on my lunch and did not have time to look at the bags properly.
When I got home.... 'fendi' and 'louis vuitton' were obviously 'styled' bags, or plain fakes!!! :rotfl: I still can't understand how I managed to grab all three of them so gladly. Anticipated loss - £9.
I also got some cheerful fabric from IKEA and am going to make a few Topshop style bags. I got a feeling they might sell at a profit.
All in all, me thinks, the money will be in books and matched betting.
I am rubbish at bargain hunting. Dare I say I also managed to waste some money on A-HA and Cliff Richards tapes:rotfl: :rotfl:

Have sold some things on ebay, I need to buy a set of scales as some of the things that I guessed the postage for have left me out of profit!!! grrr
Finding this challenge really hard to be honest, didn't think it would be this hard!!
Bought a couple of things at the 99p shop with my early profit and managed to only sell 1 out of the 4 items so am getting a bit cheesed off with ebay, especially as fee's are about 50p per item!!
Selling some of my OHs old clothes has done nicely though, you just never know what will sell and what wont do you!??
I have no idea about this matched betting malarky, i feel I need to sit down when I get a quiet half hour and look in to it!!Official DFW Nerd 2100 -
SoScrooge..
If they are labelled Louis Vuitton etc then I recommend being cautious about listing them on ebay. My mum (in Australia) buys things and resells them on ebay (Australian site) to get money in. She bought a Louis Vuitton bag in a charity shop (I don't know if it was genuine) and listed it on ebay, but they removed the listing and told her that if she listed any more Louis Vuitton products they would suspend her account.
Apparently ebay just stop people from listing certain designer items (as I'm guessing they're afraid they'll get sued if people sell fakes).
So it's possible that if you do list 'designer' bags under the brand names (which of course would be the best thing to do to draw bidders) then you might also draw ebay's wrath.
Personally, I think it's strange that you should be able to list certain brands and not others, but that's the way it seems to be.
BTW - one money making tip from my mum. Old 1st edition hardback (especially with dust jacket) Ian Fleming (James Bond) books can be worth a fortune.. I think it's Casino Royale that's worth about 1500 pounds. I think From Russia With Love is also worth a lot. Abebooks.com is a good site to look up the value of books.
Anyway goodnight (morning)..

Ooh.. just had a look at abebooks and I had severely underestimated the value of some of those bond books -
Casino Royale (hb 1st ed) is listed at $34765 (on a link from a link from the main page) and others at quite a lot as well. Sounds like a reason to have a good look through the charity shop's book shelves and the 2nd hand bookshops..
Happy shopping.
