    SoScrooge..

If they are labelled Louis Vuitton etc then I recommend being cautious about listing them on ebay.

I see your point. But I did list them as styled bags. Maybe I should take off designer names from the title? Yeah, I think I should do that.

    Thanks.

If they are labelled Louis Vuitton etc then I recommend being cautious about listing them on ebay. My mum (in Australia) buys things and resells them on ebay (Australian site) to get money in. She bought a Louis Vuitton bag in a charity shop (I don't know if it was genuine) and listed it on ebay, but they removed the listing and told her that if she listed any more Louis Vuitton products they would suspend her account.

Apparently ebay just stop people from listing certain designer items (as I'm guessing they're afraid they'll get sued if people sell fakes).

So it's possible that if you do list 'designer' bags under the brand names (which of course would be the best thing to do to draw bidders) then you might also draw ebay's wrath.

Personally, I think it's strange that you should be able to list certain brands and not others, but that's the way it seems to be.

BTW - one money making tip from my mum. Old 1st edition hardback (especially with dust jacket) Ian Fleming (James Bond) books can be worth a fortune.. I think it's Casino Royale that's worth about 1500 pounds. I think From Russia With Love is also worth a lot. Abebooks.com is a good site to look up the value of books.

    Anyway goodnight (morning).. ;)

Strange as it seems ebay policy seems to differ by country

the Uk site is far more tame than our US friends have

however while this years favourite item to be pulled is games consoles here, in America it would appear that software is a big no-no at the moment

so i wouldn't worry too much that Australia are tigger happy about branded bags

so long as the listing makes it clear that it is in the designer style you should be ok

I have started to get my MFN and general MSE cap back on because it had started to fall off again when my internet access disappeared!!

I visited a couple of charity shops - can anyone recomend any good ones in the Birmingham/Solihull area because I can't seem to find any really good ones. I went to stay with my brother in Dublin last year and there were some great ones. Anyway I didn't find anything of any great excitement apart from maybe a teachers water whisky jug but they want a fiver for it so not much profit to be made there.

I've also started thinking more about how to get the 'big' bucks in now and am preparing slowly but surely. I typed up my matched betting notes aswell to get my poor rusty brain thinking back in the right mode again there so I will start placing bets again over the weekend.

I'm glad that everyone's still here even though motivation seems to have dipped a bit since before my internet acces went off. I hope that this is due to people not having time to post as they are too busy beavering away getting FREE MONEY!!!!!

Has anyone had their tenner posted through from FHM? No sign of mine yet.

I'm off to the freebees board to see whats up for grabs.

    Night all, Luv Jxxxx

PS Everyones still motivated ... right? Are you all still with me here? Anyone there?....

Let's be clear - Ebay don't police their site. They rely on reports from other Ebayers. So the regional/country variations are due to different things being reported, not to different Ebay policies.

(Does anyone else join me in thinking this is pretty appalling and Ebay should get their finger out? )
