  • Let's be clear - Ebay don't police their site. They rely on reports from other Ebayers. So the regional/country variations are due to different things being reported, not to different Ebay policies.

(Does anyone else join me in thinking this is pretty appalling and Ebay should get their finger out? )
    Worded it badly

it's not to do with the complaints they are getting it's to do with Microsoft, Louis Vitton etc saying that the items are copy-right infringement and ebay taking them off under the VERO policy, so i am not sure why an item is taken off under this in one country but not another:confused:

I have started to get my MFN and general MSE cap back on because it had started to fall off again when my internet access disappeared!!

I visited a couple of charity shops - can anyone recomend any good ones in the Birmingham/Solihull area because I can't seem to find any really good ones. I went to stay with my brother in Dublin last year and there were some great ones. Anyway I didn't find anything of any great excitement apart from maybe a teachers water whisky jug but they want a fiver for it so not much profit to be made there.

I've also started thinking more about how to get the 'big' bucks in now and am preparing slowly but surely. I typed up my matched betting notes aswell to get my poor rusty brain thinking back in the right mode again there so I will start placing bets again over the weekend.

I'm glad that everyone's still here even though motivation seems to have dipped a bit since before my internet acces went off. I hope that this is due to people not having time to post as they are too busy beavering away getting FREE MONEY!!!!!

Has anyone had their tenner posted through from FHM? No sign of mine yet.

I'm off to the freebees board to see whats up for grabs.

    Night all, Luv Jxxxx

PS Everyones still motivated ... right? Are you all still with me here? Anyone there?....
My motivation hasn't gone, but the items on ebay are going slower.

I'll be really up when the table makes a profit but at the moment i am making a loss so won't get excited just yet

Soilhull town centre i wouldn't bother, very overpriced

the software i got came from the Kidney charity shop in Kings Heath (the clothes there don't appear to b overpriced but haven't really had a good look at the labels

Some of the ones in Shirley aren't too bad, the Settlement Shops used to be reasonable but again not really looked at the clothes

Don't even try Moseley as there's only an Oxfam (not bad pricing but cost of petrol to just look at one shop)

There is a table top sale at the main C of E church in Kings Heath (just up from Lloyds Pharmcy) today from 10am and again on 28th November.

Having a rubbish week so far but this has suddenly changed for the better today. Had a letter from some share registrar to say I had 144 shares in themutual.net (from all my click-throughs and kelkoo searches over several years!). If I sell them, I'll get back rougly £84 after fees!!!! :j

Also an email from Paddypower offering a free £10 (albeit stake not returned). So I went to my account to redeem it to find I still had a £10.71 balance from my last lot of freebeing. Now all I need to do is get my head round matched betting and have a first attempt.

And lastly I've got an invite to an event today where they give you a free gift for attending......and these free gifts sell for up to £10 on ebay (I sold two a few days ago to someone in Australia). Just need to get Mum to come with me and get two!
Welcome back FrugalFox...we really missed your table! :T

ok....a chastened freebird returns, gives herself a mental slap around the head and owns up.:o

Thought that rather than match betting with the freebie money in my betfair account I could grow it a little by sticking it on "dead certs". Well....they both lost as I just discovered when I opened my account to match bet the paddypower freebie. So now I have nothing bar £0.54p there.....I feel sick. Very sick. _pale_

Mind you...I guess a good thing is that if I feel this ill losing a freebie, I could never actually bet my own money so little chance of developing a gambling addiction.

So do I grit my teeth and use my own money and stick strictly to match betting rules? Or do I give up now?

Oh well....best go reduce my challenge total.

Okay..... just finished reading all the posts! Well in between reading the post and making breakfast and the CHART is looking interesting for Monday..... Quite a few players for the slots at the top of the leader board. Whilst I haven't been able to get online I've done a couple of car boots etc and made some good money! Also sold some cakes that I'd baked. Took a 'posy of baby socks' to my friend who's just had another baby and had an order for 2 more for friends of hers... so my totals now looking more healthy! Just off now to see if I can 'do' anything with ebay regards my sock posy and cakes! Also one of the lovely people who bought my paperclips sent me a box of goodies as a 'swapsie' so off to do something with that today.

Keep going everyone.... Remember to update your signatures and I'll post the table on Monday

  • I've managed to get up to £71 through using quidco and some small bets on football games. I have a load of stuff to go up on ebay - unwanted presents etc........but have been snowed under at work.

I had a quick look in some of my local charity shops not much there. There is a couple that normally has good record collections so I might give that a go - and more books for amazon.

  • Hi everyone

Couldn't do the full day of looking round charity shops (wish i was able to)

Picked up a BT 746 phone for £6. The prices for these on ebay are all over the place not not sure exactly how much i will get for it

Also a Now thats what i call music 14 (again prices all over the place) for £2.50

but may lose money on the Now 23 double CD.

But if I make £22.60 on the lot then i'll have doubled my money
