Look through the different categories to find the items up for auction. You can then bid on them or some auctions have got buy it now prices.

To find some cash, type coin in the search box.

    Hope this helps :D

Thank you, that makes sense now!! I'm going through all the codes in that thread to see what I can get :T

I'm really excited about this. It's just what I needed to get me motivated again because I've been sliding recently. I've just done my signature and it's really made me think that maybe I had been getting somewhere after all - so thanx loads for this thread Emily.

I don't know anyone with a digital camera but I do have a camcorder that takes stills - it must be poss to wire that up to pc somehow.

I would be ebaying clothes that were given to me by one of my daughters friends mums but are too small - there are some gap and next ones so they should get more than £1.

I'm going to read all the stuff about matched betting that I printed off when I had my light bulb moment back at the end of April and then if I feel comfy with it I shall try and make more for nothing that way.

If you make and sell cakes isn't that cheating coz you've bought the ingredients or is it OK if you deduct ingredient price from the sale price? Is it cruel to send your children round selling fairy cakes for 20p?

I could go on all night!!...... right off to read matched betting stuff with cup of tea....back in a bit luv jxxxx

  • I'd love to join in, if I may?

Will have to put my thinking cap on. Might be able to sell some money-off coupons or Tesco Extra Clubcard Points vouchers on Ebay.

  • new thought.... pigsback, change for vouchers (and sell them) or money via betfair.......money due in this month for mystery shops (the pay I will include, not the reimbursements)

AND, work give us 150 points per quarter just for not being off sick = 150 points equals a £15 Argos voucher which I can sell to mum in exchange for cash!!

I assume you can use the cash you've earned to buy something to sell on as profit too (eg use my first £40 to buy something to sell for £60, new total would then be £60).....correct me if I'm wrng....

Hmmmm this really gets the brain going this thread....

That's right, you need to try to find a way of spending the money you have already got for nothing in a way that will get you some more money.

Anything goes as long as you only use the money you have technically got for nothing :D

Right, so I'm going to a car boot sale on sunday... any tips on stuff that I should look out for?! I'm going to see if anything takes my fancy, I figure if I like it other people will too! But I'm not knowledgeable about things that are valuable even though they don't look like it, if you see what I mean?!?! So anyone want to share their secrets?!

If I were you then I would look out for collectible items in good condition. I would be looking for stuff like Cherished Teddies, Wade Whimsies (very small animal Wade figurines, they sell from £2 and up on Ebay and I've seen them at car boots for around 50p before. They have WADE printed on them), Swarovski crystals (you would be very lucky to find these!), Me To You bears, Lilliput Lane etc etc.

Make sure that you don't over spend though. For example, I would buy a Cherished Teddies ornament in good condition for about £2 to sell on for profit. Also it depends on the size of the ornament, the bigger the size, the more you will get.

Also look for some cheap beauty products, particularly sets that you could split and sell seperately. Knitting patterns sell quite well on Ebay too apparantely

I hope this gives you a few ideas :D

Oh yes, thank you! Just the kind of starting tips I was after :)

Well I have £10 (even though its not in my account just yet) so I will see how many things I can get. I might not spend all my £10 in case I'm horribly wrong about it all :rotfl: Also, in the spirit of the challenge, I don't want to pay anything out of my 'normal' money ;) so I will keep some back in case I make a loss and need it to pay ebay fees  :rotfl:

  • Suppose that's our risk in this challenge, if we get £10 then spend it on stuff that you cannot sell, you've lost your £10 and are back to square one!!

Fantastic challenge this one.... copious amounts of praise to the OP!
