  • That was me :D And it sounds like you have a pop-up blocker that needs disabling somewhere for that thanks button issue :)

I've already tried it - when I'm on my laptop at work it's always playing up but at home (on AOL bb) it's totally fine I don't understand it :wall:

The work laptop may not have something installed that it needs to run the function, like java for example. I was the same when I was on holiday and was logging in, there were no lies inbetween posts, or I couldnt thank ect.

  • Wow

Just spent about three hours looking all around the UK on the google maps satellite, what an incredible experience (sounds sad I know, but read on and try it.)

I looked at Manchester City Centre and hardly recognised it, must be at least 5 / 6 years old. My old school which now has a nice all weather pitch had still had its awful black tar mack pitch- which brought memories flooding back.

My house didn't have its extension, the old building behind my house was still standing where the OAP's home now stands, its like a snapshot in time and you really begin to wonder where you were at that particular moment as you scan around your town/ city. People going about their everyday business not knowing that that particular moment was captured accross the world for all to se. Not that you can zoom in so far as to see people, but still its pretty amazing.

Again, sounds sad but I am going to look up friends houses who live in other cities that I haven't ever visited, just to get a picture of what they see on a daily basis.

You've got to try it, and once you start you'll be hooked!

  • hehe, i searched my house and found that only 1/2 the estate was built so the puctures around my area are at least 5years out of date and the estate opposit is still a wherehouse, how poor, google earth is the way forward.
i was once on google earth and zoomed in along the coast of morroco and seen a shaddow of a satalite that must of been orbiting the earth lower than the sat. that took the images.
lets start a thread of good images from google earth.:j
