Even so, where an adult/child is getting a seat for under a tenner including taxes and fees (ie, the under-one-pound sale seats), then better to spend 2 more quid on the infant by getting them an adult/child seat and not have the infant restricted to your lap for the journey. You can still put them on your lap if you want to, when you want to, but they'll have a seat of their own to use which can be especially convenient for nappy changes.

The way I read it, You can not purchase a seat for an infant. Its probably something to do with seatbelts as their infantbelts are designed for an infant sitting on your lap.
HOWEVER- You can purchase an extra seat for LARGE people. So unless you are like Kate Moss ,this may be an option.
    Alternatively,just book them as a child,paying for a seat

And as you can no longer take liquids through security, the option of just taking hand-luggage isn't really possible (well, not for those of us who need to take contact lens fluid etc).QUOTE]

Contact lenses in solution are permitted in the small lens holder containers, but they won't permit large containers of cleaners, saline solutions etc.

Couldnt you just buy more solution abroad?

Its all the same stuff after all
