  • I was rubbish at mealplanning this week, and we ended up having a chippie last night as a result. Must do better...

DH has informed me though that he'd prefer NOT to have a roast dinner (I'm not sure if that's a temp thing becuase of his wrist, or a more fundamental thing), so I am amending my thinking slightly.

Today: Oven chips and chicken wings from freezer
Fri: Spaghetti bol (sauce in freezer) or pasta vongole
    Sat: Fish?
Sun: Perhaps lamb shanks from slow cooker or a stew
    Mon: Chilli
    Tues: Macaroni cheese
    Wed: Nasi Goreng
Thurs: Pasta Vongole or spag bol

This is my first ever weekly meal plan so wish me luck in sticking to it!!! I can already see what I need to buy from the supermarket and that I don't need to go until Sunday (I would usually go either today or Fri) Having this list of meals means I know exactly what I need to buy and won't buy unnecessaries that will get binned!!!

Kids are off to their Dad Fri and Sat so easy, cheap and simple for me!

Friday - Tortilla with beans and grated cheese

Saturday - minestrone soup and bread

Sunday - gammon joint, potatoes, peas, hm parsley sauce

Monday - HM lentil, carrot and sweet potato soup (using gammon stock) with bread

Tuesday - spaghetti carbonara with leftover gammon

Wednesday - Sausage, mash, veg and gravy

Thursday - LO sausage in HM tom sauce over pasta

Breakfast is always cereal/toast/dried fruits/fresh fruit
Lunch will be sandwiches or rice cakes with marmite/cheese.
Snacks will be fruit or rice cakes with cheese

Also plan on making some smoked mackeral pate for the first time :)
Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Curtain pole installed in the living room
    Paint curtain pole
Window quilts for landing window & french door
Add shrink film to the kitchen door & insulate
    Insulate front door
Bubble wrap windows & french door
    Wash front door curtain
    Blind for the bathroom
Find wrist warmers & the wool socks!
    Wash heated throws
    Wash duvet & wool blankets
Buy vest tops to go under clothes and PJs
Buy nets for bathroom and kitchen
Buy or make blind for kitchen
