Friday: HM Pizza - need to find a recipe for the dough never made one before always bought them!! - topping will be whatever is in the fridge leftover - probably spring onions, mushrooms, dried up cheese

    http://cook.dannemann.org.uk/mains/pizza/

Tried and trusted... makes 3 bases and a lovely tomato base (which goes well on baguettes, Naan bread as well as pizza)

A bit late due to visitors and dinner invitations, but here's the plan for the coming week:

mon - smoked chicken & avocado salad
tue - mashed potatoes mixed with runner beans, honeyed bacon bits and chard
wed - SC chicken wings in hoi-sin sauce, rice, big salad
thur - spinach & tomato fritatta
    fri - salade nicoise
sat - bringing in the firewood for the winter - will make a big lasagne for the crew and ourselves to eat afterwards, and a trifle or crumble to follow
sun - turkish red lentil soup and any leftovers of the day before, if any.

    have a good week, everyone!

Last weeks plan was changed completely as i'm just not in a foody mood. I'm having a bit of a crappy time at the moment and currently waiting to be made redundant, so everything is a bit of a blur at the moment.

I'll do a plan, but may not stick to it depending if I fancy anything....

Monday - leftover chinese takeaway (beef satay with rice)

Tuesday - pasta with tomato sauce

Wednesday - leek and potato soup (will do in slow cooker)

Thursday - [STRIKE]homemade pizza....not sure on toppings[/STRIKE] cheese and tomato omelette with chips

Friday - [STRIKE]might be going to the cinema - if not, will do something easy from the freezer[/STRIKE] staying at my sisters

Saturday - might be at my sisters - if not, might have some spinach, tomato and chickpea curry from the freezer

Sunday - if home, will do pork stir fry with noodles
    Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
  • Oh I'm so late posting this week...

So, this week we are having / had:

Thurs: Dinner on the run - fish finger sandwiches
Fri: Creamy Fish & Mussel Chowder, crusty bread and melty choc puds and cream
Sat: Went to pot - ate out!
    Sun: Eat at DH's parents
Mon: Beef & Broccoli Noodles - new recipe of the week we were supposed to have on Sat night!
    Tues: Mixed Grill & Wedges
Wed: Lemon & Bay Roast Chicken with all the trimmings

Snacks will be muffins, cookies and scones left over from MASSIVE fundraising baking session I did on Saturday! Probably why I didn't want to cook on Sat!

    Have a good week all.

Well I didnt post last week and although I used the right basis for the meals I can safely say that not one was what it was mean to be :rotfl:. Nothing extra was bought and nothing went to waste but not posting seemed to put the whole thing to pot!! Never mind this week looks something like this:

    MONDAY
Lunch - at work (Chicken salad wrap)
    Dinner - HM minestrone soup

    TUESDAY
Lunch - bagels with cheese/prawns etc
Dinner -at work (HM bacon and leek quiche)

    WEDNESDAY
Lunch - [STRIKE]baked pot with cheese and beans[/STRIKE] salmon fried rice
Dinner - spinach and lentil en croute with salad and riata

    THURSDAY
    Lunch - HM pizza
Dinner - at mum and dads
    FRIDAY
Lunch - at work (black pud salad)
Dinner - curried aubergine soup and garlic bread

Decided to have a little bit of a shuffle as I am trying to clear some room in the freezer AND I would have had to buy the baked potato so this was I am making room to freeze some other stuff and saving money :rotfl:
