Too much debt and unwilling/unable to pay it off. I'm sick of doing it all, they make zero effort :(

It has to come from them really TBH.

Gemmzie (((hugs))) I do know that you trying to help your parents has been an ongoing saga for the time I've posted on DFW.

Unfortunately, there is only so much that you can do to help and if they are not also willing to move forward and embrace their finances, then there is very little that you can do.

As hard as it will be, they will have to face up to the consequences of their own actions or inactions.

I hope I write for all of us on DFW chat in that we are here for you and will support you when you need to let of steam. :grouphug:

You are now moving into a new chapter of your life, please don't let these worries spoil this lovely time.

I can only echo these great sentiments.

Thanks all, it's nice to hear from those of you like whatty who know the crappy time I've had with all this. I feel like I'm being selfish giving up but it's affecting my health and they are selfish for not helping or realising.

And beanie - who snuck in when I was posting.
