  • I was sitting by my balcony windows and wondered why the heck loads of people were walking to the seafront and then noticed there were hundreds of cars parked along the road in front of my flat (it's double yellows so no parking normally). I headed out to see what was going on. The tide is almost to the top of the sea walls!!! It's autumn equinox apparently and highest tide is tonight. It is literally touching the top of the walls  I'm glad I live on top floor flat just in case it does breach! The estuary mouth is overflowing too onto the grass, and the water is backfilling into the dock. It looks amazing though. So glad I noticed it :D

I'm very content with parts of my life like my job, friends, travels and where I live. But not so content in others. I tend to not mention the carp bits unless they are really getting me down at the time of posting. I guess you can't have it all eh?

Call yourselves boring, you lot! I don't even post here much because I've just got nothing to say. Sometimes I do things at weekends but sometimes even they are not interesting to other people, and during the week I pretty much just go "Up, work, home, dinner, telly/computer, sleep, repeat".

Besides, I fail entirely to see what is boring about mad families, mad pets, mooing fridges and the like :rotfl:
  • Thanks for the hugs:o
DS now in bed playing with his DSlite and I am about to go to bed too as I feel shattered:cool:
might not seem so bad tomorrow if I get some sleep.
I am not going to my dress fitting as I cancelled it and will go in a fortnight....just cant be doing with it at the mo.
I wish I knew how to make things better for DS but I cant take the autism away:(
i have a pile of ironing again to catch up with tomorrow and tidying to do.
Well off to bed now....hugs to anyone else who needs them and hope it isnt too much longer for Falady;)

If you want boring you should be here! Haven't even got a mooing fridge! Not much happening, just work, the hospice and then tea. WM been on again, DD appears to have shovelled some clothes off her bedroom floor.

Had an interesting day at work, a pupil (10 years old) sent me a request to be a friend on facebook last night. I obviously ignored it but mentioned it to head teacher. It appears that another member of staff has been approached by the same child so it went further. I think this is totally inappropriate and we would be locked up if it had been the other way round. Hopefully the Authority will remind all parents of the dangers of a child so young approaching staff - I just hope that we are the only ones he has contacted, there are a lot of dodgy folk out there.

Anyway, after that rant I have read the thread but nothing much has stuck so I hope you are all ok and have a good evening, boring or not!!

    Take care XX

Time seems to be running away with me at the moment. Went out today and got some bits to make the 40's night outfits. I remembered DS had left a US (airforce I think) jacket in his wardrobe, he had got it from a charity shop for fancy dress events at UNI, and it fits (just) DH, so with beige/fawn trousers and we bought a cheap shirt from Sainsbugs and a tie from Matalan he was sorted. I have decided on a just below straight skirt wearing it with a shirt over the top and an elastic belt, with pearls at my neck and ears, just needed belt, £3 Matalan, pearls £2.50 Matalan, I am set, As legs are brown from Spain, will get DH to draw a seam with eyebrow pencil on my legs. I went to the hairdressers, and she suggested I put waves in my hair to make it more 40's like, so moussse, and clips packed too.:D

Been using up all week from the freezer thaw so, not done much cooking, but will have to start when we get back.:o

House is tidy due to DH being a tidy nut, and nagging me, but office/pc room/spare bedroom is in need of a blitz next week. DH is going to dig out our bikes so we can exercise that way. Will try to go blackberrying next week.;)

Must put a loaf on in the BM to be ready in the morning, remind me will you please.:p

(((hugs))) to those feeling carp, and Falady hopefully things move soon, shame they didn't keep you in and start you off, they did with me 2 weeks early;):D due to BP. BB hope the headache eases.

    Take care all - DG
