Anyway DS1 is off to work, DS2 is in the dog-house still, kids are packed up and ready for school and I resemble the crazy cat lady from the Simpsons
Last day of proper work for me today - DH is working tomorrow night and Saturday night so I have the kids and a load of <S work to do while they are in school tomorrow. Sunday still free :j
Think i'll go and get one of the 1/2 price beef joints from sainsbugs for this weekend and maybe a gammon too - haven't had any for ages.

Morning all
Sunny and bright here this morning - the weather that is not me:D Although tbh feel pretty well this morning and it is my day off too so hopefully will get lots done.
Had a disaster during the week, during monday night little dog was really restless and kept waking us up and we were gettng quite cross with him and telling him to go back to his bed and sleep. When we woke up we were paddling in an inch of water :eek:and he must have been trying to tell us!!! Turns out we had a leak from the roof which had come down the chimney breast and was seeping out from under the fitted wardrobes! So had to have the roofers out yest - luckily it seems it was the flashing that needed replacing and so cost us £300 - I suppose it could have been worse. However this has had to come out of our holiday spending money and as we go next friday (Florida for a week) I am panicking slightly now - need to do a major shuffling around of money now.
Waiting for the dw repairman to come today (under warranty thank goodness) this has been an ongoing saga for about 6 weeks now - just had a text from him to say he will be here between 1 - 3 this afternoon, so will nip out shortly to do shopping etc and will iron this afternoon whilst waiting in. Washing out on the line already, another load just on so hopefully will get that dried as forecast for today is quite good.
Hope you are all well, I do keep reading although not regularly posting:o
Have a good day all

Morning All
Redruby - my post is going to be very boring - office, housework, ironing :rotfl:nothing exciting going on at all - I guess that is a good thing tho - no trauma's.
Feeling energetic today thankfully as yesterday was just one of those days in the end - no energy & can't be asked attitude.
Already have cleaned kitchen worktops, emptied DW and taken 2 long work calls. Just about to load the wm then will put my head down in my office, tacho checking & filing today then maybe a bank reconciliation oohhh too exciting for words
Tonight is 'free' night on my menu plan which means something quick and easy or out the freezer - quite possibly will be ham, egg and chips
Thats it now - don't want to overexcite anyone with my wonderful planned day. Oh just remembered have a staples order coming with a free gift of a George Foreman - now that may be mildly exciting!
x
nearly forgot - (((hugs))) wherever needed, hope the back improves esmf & the car isn't too costly.0 -

Mmorning all.........................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Another boring post!! Grey and rather cold this morning. I fell asleep on the settee yesterday when I got in from my quilting group, ended up freezing, just could not get warm, lit the stove, just wood to start them I put cobles on with a piece of wood on the top, kept the stove going until we went to bed, the fan was still whirring merrily as we went for our showers.
Aldi this morning, they have winter bedding plants in, also need fruit and some salad stuff, not sure what went wrong with out tomatos, but we have loads of green ones not many red, very disappointing, will try them in the new plant house next year. Need to see if I can make green chutney in the jam maker......
OH off up to the veg garden, we are still picking beans, but the first frosts will kill them, still pulling carrots, want OH to plant more next year, we have some winter lettuce which needs to go in under one of the poly tunnels so I can pick lettuce through the winter. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Ladies - your posts are not boring!!!
Up later today, DH not working and not feeling too good, and DS home from hospital into our care last night. Crisis team will be following up and they called at 9am and will be visiting late afternoon.
So, washing about ready to hang out now. Need to get to Curves later this morning and want to plan the next week's worth of meals today. Bins emptied today already - and I still forgot to clear out the questionable science projects maturing in my fridge! Oh well, another job for today perhaps.
Now that's what I call a boring post.....Resolution:

Morning!
I stopped posting everyday because mine all seem a bit Groundhog day to me,so I'm glad its not just me thinking I'm boring:o.Perhaps we can console ourselves by thinking that as OStylers we have some similar interests in common and therefore do not find each others posts boring:D :DI don't anyway.
DH took the van for MOT this morning, but its failed and he's had to leave it,so thats an unexpected bill-don't know how much yet but over £200.:( Seems there are a few around this morning.
DS2 should have arrived in Tenerife now,bit of peace then;),though we're off to France for a few days soon ourselves.DS1 will be at home to look after the dog.I've made some pies ,pasties and stuff to keep him going, they're in the freezer.
The viewer didnt turn up AGAIN.He's no excuse as the agency emailed and texted. So rude.At least the house is straight for going away
Something made with chicken breasts for tea,not sure what yet.I got a bag reduced from MnS.
Beemuzed, hope your son will be ok and DH feels better soon.
Hugs to anyone who needs one.
Falady-hope youre resting:)

Morning all
I seem to have missed something yesterday so will go catch up on the thread in a bit!!
I enroled on my PGCE yesterday
, was a bit of an anti-climax as I was the only one there at the time and all I did was fill out forms! next week is the induction so I'll meet people then. The weather was attrocious in the afternoon, roads were like rivers at one point . I had my hair cut and coloured, I like the shade, it's hint of purple, but I think she left my hair a bit too long and cos it grows so fast I know it will annoy me in a month! :rotfl:.
I went out last night and met my friends for drinks in a posh hotel. We haven't all been together for about 6 weeks cos of holidays/work/life so it was lovely to ctach up. We sat out on the decking with the patio heaters and had a lovely evening
.
Today in work I'm taking the kids to their Basic Skills lessons (literacy and numeracy), it's over an hour away from here
so a 2 hour session takes up the whole of the day!
My car has gone in for MOT. I'm not holding out much hope for it passing! Think it will need a few bits doing but fingers crossed it won't be too expensive. Positive thoughts please!
I'm out again tonight with different friends. Going for early dinner after work. I really need to tidy my flat and sort out some bits n bobs so hopefully I won't be too late home. My flat is such a state
cos I've barely been there this week, so stuff has just been dumped everywhere rather than put away!
Have a great day all
