Had quite a productive day - All of the washing dried on the line, I managed to get it all in 5 minutes before it started to rain :)

Made 36 cup cakes, 2 loaves of bread a pastryless quiche and some twinks.

Mind you Leccy Bill came today and it was £178 for the summer quarter (I do cook by Electric - no choice) After DH scraped me off the ceiling I will be implementing mega power saving in this house.

DD's days of sitting up all night on her computer or watching films are over.

HM Mushroom Soup and HM bread for dinner tonight ( They are lucky it isn't bread and water :rotfl:)

    Good evening :D

Late one from me as had mindee all day (and same again tomorrow) Still she didn't come til half ten so by then I'd done a load of washing, cooked a whole chicken and stripped the meat off and baked a songe cake. Do I feel knackered? You betcha :rotfl:
Weather has been gorgeous here today - DS is currently in his pants, shoes and a fleecy blanket tied round his neck - he's Super Boy apparantly. He was pantless but I didn't think mindee's parents really wanted to see all his bits jiggling about :o :rotfl:
Tea is a special request from my H who continues to have the week from hell :( Problems at work so he seems to think chips, sausage and peas will hit the spot.

Molly - sounds like you had a lovely day :D

Bargainbird - hope the headache stays away. Glad to see you're feeling better x

esmf - hope your back is better soon x

nic1lou2 - at your leaking roof. Hope too much damage hasn't been caused.

Falady - Hope the blood pressure doesn't get any higher and that the sweep does it's job. I confess in desparation before my induction I was jumping up and down on the spot to get things moving :o Mind you must have worked as I had a slight show and when I finally went in for induction they apparantly said I was having contractions (although I couldn't feel them :o).

NPM - All I can say is Hugs to you and to Noah xxxxx

    Have a nice evening everyone.

Thanks LW, sadly they didn't work though! It failed and will cost about £200 :( Kinda expected about that though so it could be worse. They are keeping it overnight as they are still waiting for a part. I've brought my minibus home and it's hanging half out of a visitors space :rotfl:.

Dinner has been cancelled tonight as one of the girls is ill. I'm shattered so no idea now what to make for tea.

Awwww, bummer!:( Is there a recipe you can make on auto-pilot for your dins (a bit like I do pasta with cheese sauce)? I should veg out for the evening, if I were you.:o

Mr LW came home with a small bag of damsons the other day; I've finally got round to doing something with them - they're now safely incorporated into a crumble.;)

Evening all, BB bad luck on the leccy bill. I had a big un when I got back from overseas and had no money. It came in and I was all 'No, that can't be right' so i sent a meter reading in and the actual usuage was double what was on the bill!!!! Had to hand it to Mum and Dad who sorted it that once but told me how to hammer it down for the future. I never have my immerser on for example as my shower heats itself and I do dishes from a kettle. The only time it's on is on bath night (about once a week). Bath night here is a proper candle, wine and soft music fest. My Mum thinks I have delusions of grandeur!!!! She might be right but I love it.

Had a right lazy day today and never went out in the end, just pottered, tidied a bit and slept. Got 1 WM load on and will do another later and just need to take my recycling and rubbish out and do a wee bit of meal planning followed by a trip to Aldi. Gay husband is coming round for a cuppa later and I'm back to work tomorrow so I also need to iron a bit either today or tomorrow. Had a tattie and cheese for lunch and pasta with pesto tonight. Still starving though! X

I normally do pasta with tin toms, onions and garlic but I had pasta for lunch so don't want it again. I'm just in one of those moods where I can't decide on anything :rotfl:. I'll prob do an omelette later.

Omelette is good - quick and easy, and you can throw in pretty much whatever you want. It's what's on our meal plan for tomorrow, as it'll be the Westies' last night staying with us and I've conned Mr LW into doing the dins so that I can spend time with them;); we usually chuck in toms, a handful of peas, chopped up Quorn rashers and a large amount of cheese.:D

    Evening all,

Visitors gone this afternoon but we had a lovely lunch at home....chicken, green beans, floury potatoes, salad with carrot cake to follow and then spent a couple of hours round the dining table talking about family, family history and how organised we are all going to be in getting together the bits of family history we have before our next meeting....lovely time, reminded me of how life used to be....slow and peaceful.

Nice weather to-day, sharpish morning and evening though so OH has heating on....I am planning an early night as think I am getting towards beating the early morning sleeping and want to keep it going until it becomes a habit again.

Love everybody's boring posts as they are different from mine....we had a silly little bit of excitement this morning: cousin who was visiting is daughter of my first cousin who died 5 years ago...it would have been her birthday today so she had the idea that as she couldn't visit her grave she would put flowers at the house she lived in as a child in 1930s. House has appeared to be uninhabitated for years so we just pulled in and B went to put flowers on window ledge....window opened and we spoke to the most handsome young man who now owns the house and is renovating it....he took the flowers and said that he would put them inside in a jar or something...lovely that we could actually get them into the house as I know that my cousin had a happy childhood in the time she lived there.

NPM...hugs to you and Noah, you are a wonderful person.

Nic...will your house insurance cover your expense? Clever dog, hope that you have apologised profusely!

    Welshcampe.....oooops!

Flutterby....hair sounds great, I have been stretching my appointments too far I think, hair is a mess again.

Souk...you really seem to have settled in to new job, glad that it is working well for you...bathroom ideas sound lovely. Enjoy your 'gay husband's' visit!

Falady....won't be long now however the cookie crumbles....thinking of you.

Csarina....to widen my knowledge of the English language, what are 'cobles' please?

Head is gone so will say hello to all and hugs to anyone in need or want
