I AGREE WITH YOU But what iwas saying was i felt the children were being ripped off as there is nothing on the packages saying whats inside of them. the cost of each item is £1.99 each a full set of the series is £31. 84 my point is how much is it going to cost to get the full set if you are going to get doubles most of the time and the way these people think i e. lego it is going to cost a lot more than £31.84 for a series and most kids will get the same doubles each time so they cant swop with each other . AND YES I AM PROUD TO BUY MY GRANDCHILDREN TOYS PROVIDING I HAVE SPARE CASH AND ALWAYS WILL DO SO BUT I AM NOT GOING TO SIT BACK AND WATCH CHILDREN BEING RIPPED OFF. JUST A PURE CON.

I hope you have this same stance against 50p stickers where you get a random selection of stickers in a pack?

  • You can get a list of barcode numbers for these packets from the internet, either by buying one from someone on ebay for 99p, or by having a search on some of the Lego adult fan sites.

Then when your in the store simply looko for barcodes for figures they don't have.

I wrote a small app for Android mobile phones which can be used to scan the barcodes of the lego mini figures in order to determine exactly what is inside of them.

Have a look on the Android market for Mini Figure Finder and make your life a little easier ;)

This would be even better, if you happen to have an android phone. :T

Although i'd be worried about googling Lego Adult fan sites. Never know WHAT those minifigs might be getting up to on them.

I have about 20 boxes full of Lego in my lounge. I'm 22, my OH is 20. If you have no need for the extra lego, you should donate it to a good home :D
I have some at my parents house, some of the sets going back 30 years or so, but we're putting it to a local charity shop since my dad died and my mum's trying to clear stuff out.

Same with panini stickers though - you dont know what your getting and you can then swap with your mates. Fair enough they are not £1.99 a pack but i guarantee you it costs more the £31.84 to complete the album unless your very lucky.

Its not a CON or a RIP OFF or anything else some of you angry moneysavers seem to shout when you dont get your way. YOU KNEW before you started buying the gifts for your grandchildren that each one was individually wrapped and you cant be sure of what your are getting.

YOU KNEW ALL THIS AND YET STILL YOU GO AHEAD AND BUY THEM ANYWAY AND SAY ITS A RIP OFF.

Keep your money in your purse or buy them sweets instead - you will be a lot calmer then you are now.

now that is a good example re the panini stickers, i bought them for years when i was younger and i understood that i would get some doubles so i swapped them with friends
  • There's a link on the grabbit board somewhere with the barcodes for the minifigures. My boys and I bought some series 2 without the use of the list recently, by going through the box in Toysrus and comparing the barcodes on the top left corner of the back of the bags, they are quite obviously different on each one, and they still get a surprise as they didn't know what figure was inside, We will go during the week to complete their collection with the list to pick out the ones they have still to get. No need to get your knickers in a twist, OP. :)
