Sorry if i am on the wrong page. i have gripe with the lego toy company they have toy figures series 1 and series2 16 of each @ average £1.99 each for children to collect my problem started when i bought seven single figures @£1.99 each for my grandsons the next thing i knew they were all doubles i had bought. the shop where i bought them says they cant do anything about it so i e mailed lego explaining my experiences regarding their figures toy and the reply i got was the product was called blind and surprise so if you bought one you did not know what it was until you opened the package I E Mailed them once again stating that children do not have that kind of money to go into a shop and buy a toy that they dont know what they are getting and by now there will be a lot of children who have spent their hard earned pocket money on this toy only to be disappointed when they open the package it is okay for lego to state that they swap them just like football game cards but football cards dont cost £1.99 per package in fact each series has 16 [EMAIL="toys@£199"]toys@£199[/EMAIL] each=£31 84 so how much on average is it going to cost a child to get the full series of each toy with so many doubles about in my view another money making scam and just a pure rip off knowing damm well the parents will just cough up who ever dreamt this one up should hang there heads in shame so at the end of the day a child could buy a toy every day and still end up with just doubles each time . just not on. maybe trading standards could look into the way this famous toy company operates.
ANYONE OUT THERE HAS HAD ANY EXPERIENCES WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS TOY NAMELY SERIES 1 AND SERIES 2 OF THE LEGO FIGURES. IF SO PLEASE GIVE US YOUR VIEWS. PS.
I AM STILL AWAITING A REPLY TO MY E MAIL THE ONE I DID NOT AGREE TO REGARDING THEIR EXPLANATION OFF THE SALE OF THE TOY.

Dont see a problem really, you chose to buy said lego sets, you could have bought some others

tbh the problem of doubles is not confined to the lego series you refer to ......think of any collector sets sold in a similar way and you get the problem of doubles.

the only solutions I can see are

1) swop his doubles with his mates
2) sell his doubles / buy the ones you need on ebay
3) keep the doubles and play with them and thank his lucky stars that he has a grandparent who buys him toys?

i know what you mean, i had problems trying to read it, i gave up after half way through and just skimmed it

My son collected these however after getting my first double I did a bit of research online and found that each packet has two barcodes on, one which was the same on all packets and one which relates to each figure in the packet. I printed off the details of these went into whsmiths and looked through the packets to find the ones I wanted, the manager even offered to help!! apparently there is an app if anyone you know has an I phone although I have heard it isn't that great.

I hadn't realised series 2 was out yet so will look out for these.

I have about 20 boxes full of Lego in my lounge. I'm 22, my OH is 20. If you have no need for the extra lego, you should donate it to a good home
