Argos have their electric underblankets reduced. Start at £9.99 .

THANKS! I told my niece, who has just started university, and she said the other girls in the house didn't have them so it would be unfair of her to have one as it would put up everyones electricity bill. I thought that was sooo considerate of her. She did tell me she had priced around before they ordered their oil :money: so I think she is listening to me nagging her about this site. :rotfl: :j

What?! There's a meet fairy?! I feel like Cinderella! Aw, that's lovely Jackie! I haven't quite given up though - there's a funny little shop in town that sells housey things for cheap so that might have one. And I seem to remember Penneys (Prmark) did them in previous years so maybe they have them again ... that could be dangerous though as I'm bound to buy new fleece PJs if I set foot in the store. :D

Well I will ask nearer the time and if you haven't managed, I can bring you one, no problem, wouldn't want one of our tourguides catching the cold, would we? x

Nuala, I've made loads of the wheat pillows (farm opposite) but you CAN use rice if you can't find wheat. I usually bung in a load of dried lavender as well.

The main thing, as someone has already said, is that you put a small cup of water in the microwave with it when you heat it up. It will only char and combust if it gets very dried out and then heated again and again, so the glass of water keeps the moisture content intact. HTH.

    Hello again,

Still haven't been back through the thread properly, but I was skimming through the previous one and someone mentioned full length curtains from Halfcost. I though it was worth a look and found these: http://www.halfcost.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=11&productId=52817&langId=-1&cache_entry=-1
(sorry, don't know how to do those neat links). 57" x 90" natural colour, unlined but I've ordered a pair to put back to back to use as a door curtain. I got a few other bits I'd had my eye on for Christmas presents, and got 10% off (various codes around) and the free P&P for over £25 spend.

Just would like to find a proper pole for the door but I'll probably leave that for now and muddle through with a plain one as I haven't found them for less than about £70

Brilliant! Thanks CC, that's good to know.:T Since wheat isn't easy to come by round here, I'll give it a try with a pack of rice I have here and use the water when I heat it. I have some dried lavender too I can add too.
