anyone have a link to cheap snowsuits for my children - aged 6 and 4 by winter? had a quick look but still too expensive for me

I used this site for my kids last year, bought a size bigger, and turned up the trousers to stop them being damaged, they also have IMO reasonable enough priced snow boots for kids, which is on my list for preparations for the winter, I need 3 pairs for my boys.

I got lovely hats yesterday for them from sportsdirect for one pound each, which I was well please with.

Can whoever mentioned snow shovels tell me where. Went to Home place today and they haven't got any. I want them early. Last year was horrible

I bought one last week on amazon for £6.99, with no delivery if that helps. Don't forget nectar!

I got a winter coat of ebay for £10! It's one of the aviator style sheepskin lined ones, beautiful and snuggly! I wanted the same one last year but couldn't afford the £60 price tag so am v. pleased with myself.

Going to town this weekend - primark also do thermal tights, which i lived in last year, so going to get some more of them, socks, gloves, and look for jumpers too.

It's amazing the bargains that you will get on winter stuff this time of year! No one else is really buying it, it is only those who are thinking ahead that are picking up bargains. You know what those hats that kalojac bought - you couldn't make them for that what with material and sewing time. Thats a really good bargain especially for kids stuff which they seem to load on an extra price tag for.

I have Muck Boots and they really are super warm and comfy - could walk miles in them :)

Thanks Frugal and thanks alice and veggie for the links...I may be tempted to buy some before Christmas! All in the spirit of preparing for winter of course:)
  • I thought I'd write while I remember, another one for the car list is a piece of carpet. If your car has no grip on snow/ice stick it under the wheels and it'll get you off again. I pulled over on a country lane to let a car past and got stuck in snow/muck/ice and this did the trick, it was just a small square about the width of the wheel.

Thanks for the winter list, I've stuck it up in the utility and will cross things off as I go along, although I have a few things I wont need to redo as I didn't take linings of curtains down anyway from last year.

It is on the car list, but I must admit I wondered what it was for :o Thanks for explaining!

At last I'v managed to find a double concentrate/extream weather screen wash, as I used the last of my old stock last winter, it go's down to -20, and it got to -15 last year for us, it's a 1ltr bottle, so not a lot for the money £2.99, found it in the bp staion when filling up.

If any one's still got soup on there list to get M*rris*n's has rolled over the 3 4 £2 on the Hinze, till 3/4 of September.

Only thing I need now is wellington's/ boot's for me.

re MUCKBOOTS I find that often the equestrian websites such as Robinsons and Derby House have them on offer in the summer. I picked some up for £7.50 a few weeks ago.

Visited Primark today and they had fleecy PJs in stock. Picked up a set, also picked up fleecy slipper things as these were reduced to £1.
