Preparing for winter II

Hello to everyone.
I am bit  as I now can't put out two lots of bedding I washed last night as it is now raining out side. Yesterday it said it was going to be cloudy with some sun and breezy.
Any how was thinking I had the heating on yesterday husband poorly with a cold. And I found that the living room was nice and cosy now I have lined the curtains with the asda fleeces. It got me thinking I have survival blankets (don't ask I don't go hiking or camping)that if I get another fleece and sandwich a survival blanket between then sew around it. It should make it even cosier.
The survival blankets are the cheap ones from 99p or £1 store.
Any how bathroom clean now time to think about sunday lunch and how to get this blessing washing dry.

Stay cosy Mardy! Not a cloud in our sky today, sun is shining but it is cold outside. The sitting room is heating up nicely from the sun - free heat, hurray! Will have to take my fleece off in a mo.:)Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

i've heard very good things about the electric clothes airer from lakeland http://www.lakeland.co.uk/lakeland-dry-soon-heated-airer/F/keyword/Airer/product/21736 and that got me thinking that that might be another one of those ways i could take the edge off by using something both for heat and it's original purpose.
Don't want to put you off. But what is coated in?
As I use to stick wet washing on my towel rail in the bathroom. It was white one so coated in that paint stuff for radiators.
And it went rusty very quickly. Just somthing to think about.

I have one of the driers from Lakeland and love it.:T
I have noticed that when I have no heating on the temperature in that room is always noticeably higher.
I don't think the bars will rust as they are anodized aluminium (a sort of shiney siver metal).
Hope that helps

How difficult is it to put up curtain rails? We have been meaning to put the ones up in the living room for ages as this is the only room that gets cold. DP is away but back tonight. I have the urge to give it a try. Any tips?0
