Well, all I can say is, I have cruised with MSC a total of 62 nights (Meloday, Orchestra, Sinfonia) in the last 5 years, most recently in Nov 2010, and have never been refused iced water by the glass when I asked for it.

Were there not even the usual ice and water machines in the buffet restauarants when you were on board? (Next to the hot drinks points)

That itinerary could be "gey dreich" in November.

I had an e-mail in today from Cruise Nation with a load of Costa deals at £199 - mainly Med in Nov & Dec but there is a Dubai to Dubai 7-nighter on 17 December. Also, an 18-night Savona to Dubai at £499 on 28 November and a 25-night Genoa to Mauritius at £599 on 1 December. All flights are extra. Unsure what the single supplement is.

If I hadn't already got myself fixed up for December, I might have considered the 25-night one to Mauritius and swam/walked back at my leisure!

Will have browse of the Costa options

We also have 17-26 dec booked up so if we find a Nov trip we want a gap, fall back will be 2012.

As an aside found out today one of the bar men we met years ago and have followed his career bumping into him of various trips as he climb the ladder is close to getting a F&B job good chance he will make hotel director given a couple more years.
