to be honest with you aswell, there are better tariffs than the 750 off peak t. mobile one you are on too. not at 4.95 a month, but do your bills actually come in at that? or do you find you use your phone during the day... because if you do, it seems pointless being on that tariff.
orange are the stronger network, and their animal packages are the best at the minute!!
    :T
The places i have been so far: Palma, Tunis, Rome, Corsica, St.Raphael, Naples, Pompeii, Barcelona, Villefranche, Ajaccio, Livorno, Genoa, Madiera, Martinique, St Maartens, St Kitts, St Vincents, Dominica, Barbados, Antigua, Tortola, Jealous anyone????? :T

i work for orange. we wouldnt inform you of the ovp (orange value promise) tarriffs if you hadnt have asked as they are price matches that we do to match other mobile networks

however as from 1st aug 2006 orange stopped doing ovp and also web plans (like 100ins/100texts) all they offer now are animal plans (which tie you in to new contract)

    or basic core plans:

    £19 a month=50 xnet mins
    £25 a month=100 xnet mins
    etc etc

    Thanks for the info.

As you work for Orange, do you think if I phoned they would entertain anything along the following line ?

    I have 2 Orange contracts.

Contract 1 is £30/month and finishes mid November 2006
Contract 2 is £20/month and finishes Mid Feb 2007

Do you think Orange would be prepared to "amalgamate" both contracts into 1 "animal" contract (currently looking at the Dolphin £35/month contract) if I agreed to re-new my contract which is due to end in November ?

That way, I get to save a bit by spending £35/month rather than £50/month, and Orange get me to sign up for another 12/18 months.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

are you looking into taking out a new contract with orange?
im not trying to sell, just curious for your actions?

Hi Piper, do you know if the £100 trade in promotion is coming back anytime soon?

    Thanks

both will be classed as seperate contracts
if you wanted to cancel either-you would pay buy out charge (line rental till end of your contract)
if you wanted to get the dolphin plan on an existing contract-it is possible to do

say your contract that ends in feb 07
you want 18mth dolohin 35- 550 mins and unlimited texts
you could have this plan from next billing date as long as you extended your contract by 18mths starting today and you wouldnt be eligable for a handset upgrade until after you were out of contract

    does that make sense?

    Yes, I think I understand.

Though my thinking is, that if I am going to have to buy out my existing contract and then take out a 12/18 month new contract, then I may aswell shop around for some of the "new user" deals which abound at the moment.

The only reason I was asking about almalgamating the contracts was that I was hoping Orange would forgo me having to "buy out" of my current contracts if I renew with a new contract or extend a current one.

It sounds to me like my best option would be to let the 2 current contracts run their course (as I am going to have to pay them anyway if I have to buy them out), and then cancel and take out a new contract, though this will not necessarily be with Orange. Plus I will get a nice new Samsung up to date phone too, this way.

The 1st contract I will be able to cancel in 2 weeks time, so I will see what's available then.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.
