I went to a tesco express last year, and they had hoardes of mini eggs, bunnys etc, all clearly marked for 1p. when i stocked up on them, the check out girl was saying 'good on you' etc

  • Dont trust Tesco. They have no integrity. Ordered groceries online £15 email receipt, delivered £56! Turned delivery away on 30 April, £56 taken 1 May. Called the customer services told it would be back in my account 3-5 working days. Wasnt. Called yesterday, first told I needed to call back between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, eventually took my details. Got call back today 3-5 working days before I get refund.

Will not shop at Tesco again.

Think Asda is more worthy and more professional for my custom.

No surprise that Tesco sales are suffering.

That really is terrible service but it won't put anyone here off shopping at T's

This thread is focused on instore shops and isn't really driven at 'normal' shopping, its the ridiculously low priced clearance items that can be found for pennies that are exposed here

Got 8 of the Egg and Spoon Sets for 1p each and also 6 of the Little Miss hollow eggs also 1p. I didn't realise that they could refuse to sell these but luckily for me the older lady on the checkout didn't bat an eyelid. They had quite a few more of the Little Miss ones left.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

  • I've not done too badly in the last week or so. I ended up with about sixty caramel eggs, 2 aero lambs, 1 aero christmas tree, 1 galaxy present thing, 5 mothers day flowers, 1 thorntons 'I love mum' things, a packet of milkybar eggs, a caramel bunny and a packet of mini eggs. Not bad for a weeks work!

I was also keeping an eye on those cadbury wish things, like little stars priced at 65p because I was like 'I'm sure they were here at christmas' and I scanned them and they came at 30p so I said I'd watch them for a couple of days incase they came down. I went in a day or two later and the shelf was empty of them so maybe it's worth checking it out?
