    Hi all
Apologies in advance if this has been posted already, haven't been on here for a couple of days and not read back yet (although once I've made a cuppa I will :)).

Last night, on my way home (and in a mad rush) I stopped at a local Tesco Express to get some bread (I hardly ever think of this Express store). Rushed in, picked up the milk & was on my way to the checkout when I spied a full box of chilli peanuts! I have only ever managed to get these once at one of the 3 large extra stores near me. As I hadn't checked this thread for a couple of days, I was bit cautious and picked up 2 packs (SEL £1.45). Queued up to pay and was delighted when they scanned at 22p each. Because I was pushed for time, I decided that I would pop back first thing this morning and get some more. I went back at around 9am and picked up 8 packs and a couple of other bits. When I got to the checkout, the SA said "ooooo are these still 22p, I got some of these last week". I replied "I think so, I bought 2 packs yesterday". She counted them out and scanned one...... £11.60:eek::eek: "Oh no, they've gone back up" she said. "Do you still want them or shall I get them put back?"

Needless to say I came out minus any chilli nuts! She was a lovely SA though and even told me to try a different Express store "just in case" :)

Do they do DTD in express stores, you could've made a fortune!!!

I know I said I was going to go into lurking mode, but I have some nutritional advice I'm sure you'll all appreciate, from personal experience:

To lose a sh*tload of weight very quickly, simply contract a gastric virus.

There would be no DTD SEL was £1.45 they scanned at £1.45. (8 packets x £1.45 = £11.60)

The worst balls up of DTD that I've seen was Blondynurse who was convinced that Tesco paid her £3 to take some phones away but in actual fact she paid T's £31 for the phones!! There was something else she ballsed up on the same trip as well.

I think people go on the hunt for out of date SELS, they see one and get all excited when the adrenalin starts pumping and it all goes downhill from there.:rotfl:
