Wow how'd you use so many coupons in a transaction? where bouts in the country are you lol. I once had a self serve sa play hell with me when I tried ta use 2 fairy couponnesat. time. Then went to a branch in Liverpool and the sa wa fine about me using 2 coupons for fairy! Did u go to an extra to get the galaxy?-as I try in a big (not xtra) store with my coupon y/day, they didn't ave the prroduct, worker guy directed me to a bigger store I.e extra

I always use multipul coupons. I just make sure that I warn them before they start scaning my shopping i:e "I've got loads of coupons to use" That way they should take more notice of what they are scanning and not find it nessesary to ask you when you're paying if you actually bought the item (or bought two). Also, if you are buying two of something make sure that the coupons have different names on them, my oh and I both have supersavvyme acounts, and I'll print one coupon off from each.

    Moring all!

I'm definatly going to mr T's today. I like the idea of each taking a section to scan, but unfortunatly the scanner in my store never seems to be working:( Saying that, it's a large Tesco so there might be more than 1 and I just haven't found it yet. I'll have a good mooch today and see what I can come up with.

Morning, i know a few of you use the Reading stores, noticed in cages in the top isle of THE RDG WEST store, they have the truffles which go through as a penny with yellow reduced labels on them for £2.04. i found one with the label not on the barcode so got it for a 1p.

I keep an eye out for yellow SELs with the little 'RTC' on them. I then scan the item at the self-scanner. Last week, I found something marked at £1.25 on the shelf, actually scanning for 62p. I'm keeping an eye on this whole range as the stock never seems to shift, so should drop again soon. I'll post when it does (the stuff's not even worth 62p, so not worth mentioning - keyrings and mini photo frames - but I have done anyway!)

I look for items with no prices on sel or the hanging strips with no prices. It worked with the elizabeth shaw find and also 3 different princess type toys but these were withdrawn from sale so no point mentioning them at the time.

Also look for identical items which have different packaging or weight size etc as the old stock invariably ends up at a penny or a ridiculously cheap price. Example: elizabeth shaw, black magic, strawberry / Belgium choc tarte, etc!

Hope this helps folk in their worthy endeavours!

Thanks for the advice great to know what others do, in the vain hope of finding something!!! it took me ages to work out what RTC was....i did eventually get it though!!

Nothing much today due to a quick visit to T's with a hangover from last night!!!!Did get dove & galaxy and lots of whoopsie bits though. Have decided that everytime I go in T's I am going to scan at LEAST 10 things and I might just get lucky with a 1p item.I do usually scan lots but it's a bit hit and miss, so I am doing it methodically and started today in the toiletries (shampoo section) Just had a thought, we could each take a section , one of us could do the loo rolls, one the razors, one the choccies, etc then we've have all bases covered!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I didnt like being put on the "gone but not forgotten thread" at first, but in a way I've decided I do, We're not quite so obvious now if you know what I mean;)

I was thinking the same thing yesterday on my dawnder around, hmmm i have the toy aisle next to my price scanner (or closest anyway) am gonna have to try and get into T's today to get more dove!!!

    Hi,
just to let you know what I know about the water guns.

This is from a post I put on a couple of weeks back....

It has previously been mentioned but further confirmation on the cheap WATER GUN, bar code 5052319324099 scanned at £1.
Newer stock has different code ending in 192. (I think thats the one mentioned on pennyitems, but probably scans at the SEL price of £5?) The guns are no different!
I got the last 099 one on the shelf in one of the Norwich stores and have also checked the other that only have newer stock.

...... i haven't scanned the ...192 bar code guns as we don't have self scanners.... Good luck. :T

Thanks for this, have updated penny items list with new barcode. If you happen to have a pic that would be great.

My local doesn't have a scanner:(. A smaller store a bit further away does, but it doesn't stock a big range. They have 2 scanners, one in the IT/phone isle and one with the in tinned goods. Don't go there there that often, but when I do have scanned a few rtc things, but no luck yet!

These could be store specific as they scanned at the right price in middleton Manchester yesterday all favours
