I take it tea has run out of old barcodes as knowones posted about them for a while, chilli nuts are still 22p as got some recently

Managed to pick up 12 boxes of these teabags on Saturday, couldn't find them before that. The sell by dates are better on the 7p ones, so I think it's the newer stock.

Went to Mr T's today. What did i find sitting on the shelf ........... 6 cartons of choc custard........... what did SEL say ............10p............what did i get charged ............90p!!!! £9.60 refund thank you very much :j:j

How did you manage this? I am a bit confused because I thought the dtd thing was over. Does it still apply to things in store that are wrongly scanned? I use the Peterborough store as well.

    What does SEL stand for?

Was so happy on Friday because it was my first attempt at a 1p find and didn't expect to find anything. Would have been happy with a box of roses! But went to look for the mouse and saw the section where it should have been with the grey ones next to it. I checked behind but there were none there so picked up a grey one as I remember someone a while ago saying that the grey ones were going through as well. Husband was at the electrical desk and had asked SA to check out back for something else. I told him to ask her for a price check on the grey ones and just then I looked down and saw about seven purple mice on the desk, just sitting there! ::T

Husband said, "quick, grab some!" so I did and ran to the self serve. Couldn't believe it when it scanned for 1p!!! I was shaking so much! Then a message came up about the security tag and quick as a flash, my husband turned around and asked the lady at the basket checkout to take the tags off. While she was doing that, the SS SA looked in my bag and then continued talking to the basket checkout lady about working hours. If he had seen the mouse......:o
It was completely serendipitous! We were both so happy just to get the two mice, it has made our whole week. Sad, I know, but we've had a rough few years and I don't remember having so much fun for ages! :T:T
Thank you to everyone on this board. I am determined to find some 1p items to give back to the community.
Husband kept saying, 'we haven't done anything wrong!' :rotfl:
You would think that they would be smart enough to take them out back and not leave it technically on the shop floor.x
    Thanks everyone!

dtd applies instore if you purchase an item instore and you are charged more than the sel said.:)

so when you go to the cs desk they should give you double of what you were over charged by.:)

alot of the time you have to 'remind' them its dtd as they will try to only give you the difference!

there's a large blue display board by cs and its written about it on there about half way down the list I think.

the really nice dtd are if you manage to get something for free or if reaaaaaally lucky they pay you to take it away! :D

i.e custard 10p sel,buy 1 and it goes through the till at 70p......60p overcharge doubled to £1.20 back from cs..so free custard and 50p profit!! :D (wish I'd managed this one! lol)

Joining this thread late, without looking through loads of pages, what 1p items are there to look out for?

Thank you so much ilovemykids and happy chappy! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain. I don't think I would have known about the dtd even though I always check my receipts and get the refund.
I think i have read almost every post on this thread!!
