Never got round to telling you how i ended up in Tesco on saturday and resulted in the custard DTD - i had a call to go and collect some Roses chocolates following my email to Philip Clarke - ten boxes FOC. On another note just been checking prices of sun protection as i have to wear factor 50 as got genetic skin cancer - Nivea Invisiable SPF50 in Asda is £6.00 ....... guess who much in Tesco??? £14.00!!!!!!! it might be on BOGOF but it would need to be at that price!

I need to use factor 50 too. I bought simple for £2.99 in home bargains. It's quite heavy though, but does sink in eventually.

NOTE : Pasta Sauce is now up to 75p in 2 stores today. 1st had no SEL but went through at 75p, when we checked at another store they had a 75p sel.

Thanks for replying to question asked of me - i can only get on here at sneaky moments when at work :)
The SA offered DTD i did not have to ask for it but i did notice there were no DTD signs displayed so also wondered if it had finished.
Re sun protection - i have to wear every day and i just feel really yukky n clogged up all the time. Regardless, i refuse to pay Tescos extortionate rip off prices and will get some from Asda or Sainsburys.

there's a large blue display board by cs and its written about it on there about half way down the list I think.

In my local extra they don't have the massive long blue plaque thing just a smallish a4 sized one which is a b*tch to try to read seeing as its mounted on the wall at the back of CS next to the fags etc.

Anyway I went in the other day with my glasses still on after driving and it doesn't feature the DTD policy at all although when I have been overcharged I have received DTD (once straight off & the other time after prompting & with CS woman saying "she'd honour it for me this time").

Not having it up there does worry me a bit though as it would be nice to have that extra ammunition if a trout was on CS

I've noticed too that in my store the big blue display poster for DTD has gone and replaced by a piece of A4 paper ...

However, half way down the page it DOES mention the DTD policy as I read it only this morning :D

Check all fields are completed, it is required that you tell them in at least 15 words why you liked it.

How did you manage this? I am a bit confused because I thought the dtd thing was over. Does it still apply to things in store that are wrongly scanned? I use the Peterborough store as well.

    What does SEL stand for?

Was so happy on Friday because it was my first attempt at a 1p find and didn't expect to find anything. Would have been happy with a box of roses! But went to look for the mouse and saw the section where it should have been with the grey ones next to it. I checked behind but there were none there so picked up a grey one as I remember someone a while ago saying that the grey ones were going through as well. Husband was at the electrical desk and had asked SA to check out back for something else. I told him to ask her for a price check on the grey ones and just then I looked down and saw about seven purple mice on the desk, just sitting there! ::T

Husband said, "quick, grab some!" so I did and ran to the self serve. Couldn't believe it when it scanned for 1p!!! I was shaking so much! Then a message came up about the security tag and quick as a flash, my husband turned around and asked the lady at the basket checkout to take the tags off. While she was doing that, the SS SA looked in my bag and then continued talking to the basket checkout lady about working hours. If he had seen the mouse......:o
It was completely serendipitous! We were both so happy just to get the two mice, it has made our whole week. Sad, I know, but we've had a rough few years and I don't remember having so much fun for ages! :T:T
Thank you to everyone on this board. I am determined to find some 1p items to give back to the community.
Husband kept saying, 'we haven't done anything wrong!' :rotfl:
You would think that they would be smart enough to take them out back and not leave it technically on the shop floor.x
    Thanks everyone!

Well done you:T:T:T That my made cry with laughter, I can just imagine the scene. Only another 1p MSE'er would understand the feeling you get when you have managed to sneak a 1p item through self serve. Me and my OH often walk out saying the same thing "Well we have'nt done anything wrong!!!!"

Off tonight to pick up my garden lights that I ordered on the BOGOF & 20% discount!! Am going to work on self scanning conditioners tonight as checked all the shampoo's yesterday (Well most!);)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
