have been to tescos about 5 times in 3 days i think, i think i have a an addiction, i think almost every time was child free too, so ended up picking up loads of random bits and bobs to try and find 1p items or at least greatly reduced, anyone that has found 1p items, was it just pot luck or is there a method to the madness? i have managed to get loads of doves, a chocolate bar (or 2) pepsi, all for just over £1 same today except bread instead of pepsi, have wombled a 5p petrol receipt cos that's the ONLY way i is gonna get one!! ooft i figure if i just keep trying somethings bound to work!¬!! also just to ask has anyone got tesco value wipes (80's) in their stores, they seem to have been removed from EVERY STORE IN MY AREA!!! ALL OVER DUNFERMLINE TO EDINBURGH!!!

I keep an eye out for yellow SELs with the little 'RTC' on them. I then scan the item at the self-scanner. Last week, I found something marked at £1.25 on the shelf, actually scanning for 62p. I'm keeping an eye on this whole range as the stock never seems to shift, so should drop again soon. I'll post when it does (the stuff's not even worth 62p, so not worth mentioning - keyrings and mini photo frames - but I have done anyway!)

That jogged my memory - when I was instore today I saw RTC on the value BBQ tools. They were still 80p today but may be worth people keeping an eye on them although TBH they did look pretty flimsy

I look for items with no prices on sel or the hanging strips with no prices. It worked with the elizabeth shaw find and also 3 different princess type toys but these were withdrawn from sale so no point mentioning them at the time.

Also look for identical items which have different packaging or weight size etc as the old stock invariably ends up at a penny or a ridiculously cheap price. Example: elizabeth shaw, black magic, strawberry / Belgium choc tarte, etc!

Hope this helps folk in their worthy endeavours!

wouldn't it be worth mentioning those though as some people have had some 1p finds reported in their stores as withdrawn but others are still selling at 1p so it may be withdrawn in your store but not in others?

It's good that we all work in different ways. This way we cover all bases and get to share the maximum number of deals.

Ha, you thought you could all sneak off and I wouldn't find you :) I searched to page 3 of the main thread then went to misprices :) A rubbish day today no T bags with the right barcode, juggits now £1, no Black Magic, and my son has been eating the roses which was the only thing I have found so far, and was saving for party bags for my daughters birthday in a couple of weeks :( I did notice a different mouse on RTC when I was pulling the shelves apart looking for the purple one (2 SA's came and asked if I needed any help - figured it was best not to tell them what I was doing ) There is a Logitech Mouse that the SEL is RTC. was £19.97, label now says £7.97, but scanned at £5.97, so worth keeping your eyes open for. I put it back in the RTC section, next to a few boxes of truffles - so someone had been there before me :)
