Thanks for ur help as i am not that great on computers and did not realise you could search threads for keywords it does help, and just for your information i contribute as much as i can and have posted dtd and such likes. Normally people don't have trouble helping others out when questions are asked.

sorry, as i said, i didn't want to get any backs up, just probably stressed out having all kids home and bugging me!
one thing i have noticed about this thread is that where most people are very friendly and do help out others a lot, there are loads of leechers who probably would not even identify themselves and just read it and go,
the people that contribute to this forum a lot need recognition, and it had been said before that it is very annoying when people have obviously not bothered to read back the last few pages when they ask very lazy questions.
it wasn't aimed directly at you Brodie_mummy, just straw/camels back etc! sorry for any offense taken, it wasn't meant to be like that.:o:o
bargain hunting is what i do! :money: 2 adults 3 kids - its like trying to feed a zoo! :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All,
Can anyone give me some tips please as to the best time to go shopping for these 1p items. I don't drive and rely on hubby to take me. He stays in the car and listens to the radio etc and gives me as much time as it takes. We can go anytime day or night but can't afford too many trips because of diesel. Usually go at mark down times but is it better to go at night when the shelves are being stacked.
Being in the country has an upside but fewer T's. I feel like I'm planning a military operation lol. I Have my list which i keep updating.
Have been reading threads for awhile. friends and family already think I'm addicted to bargain hunting, but needs must.

    Any tips appreciated. Thank you

    From Aberdeen Danestone I got

2 jugit jugs at a penny each

7 custard. The custard isn't where you would expect to find it, it's slightly further up the aisle in the reduced to clear area.

    5 Pasta sauce.

Mint Thins are scanning at £1 and I couldn't find any tea or rim blocks.

The penny item list was started by thepearce, he owns the domain and he has some of us updating the list. We do this to help out others, especially those who refer to it while shopping or those who don't have time to read through the forums. I fail to see how starting a campaign to have it deleted is needed.

I scanned the chocolate orange segments and the mint thins and they both scanned at £1.00. At least i tried! Got all excited that i had found some Roses. never seen them before but also scanned at £1.00. Did get the custard, pasta sauce, jelly and finest choc cake.

Don't know if this is normal price or not but i did see Tescos own potato wedges in freezers for 52p but couldn't see them. Also, i have seen the Tommee Tippee closer to nature teethers for babies 6 months + stage 3 (3 triple action) down from £4.50 - £5.00ish to £1.00. Yellow SEL

You've got the JugIt ones now. That'll do.

    :p

Yep. These jugs are perfect for BBQ season for non alcoholic drinks as they are lidded so wasp resistant, if you know what I mean.

I reckon I will use one for it's intended purpose too. I like to do my bit to save the environment/reduce waste etc so it means less trips to the recycle bin with milk bottles.

I would like to thank everyone on here that has posted all the information & pictures regarding the great deals, I had a good old read and armed with my list managed the following

    Pasta sauce x 10 for 20p each

    Pasta x 5 for 40p each

    Lenor x 2 for free

Fairy Washing up liquid x 2 for 50p

    Ambrosia Chocolate custard x 10 10p each

Ambrosia low fat custard x 5 30p each

I also picked up 2 x Ariel Stain remover 1kg which were SEL marked at £4.00, checked with SA on the aisle and he said that I could use my 2 vouchers. On checking my receipt I was charged £8.69 each, off to customer service and I was refunded £18.76 on the DTD. My shopping originally was £20.78, so I only paid £2.02.

Once again thanks for all the hardwork, it is much appreciated :T

To be honest it's hit & miss. I often go at "reducing" time, but that varies from store to store. I think it's just a case of being lucky, right place, right time. In my nearest T's they seem to shelf fill all the time. Although I'm going to confess at setting the alarm and being in T's at 5.30am one morning in the hope they'd restocked the gardening glitch:o
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
