There was two deals that I could see. Both ran out yesterday. The SEL said free sausages with the bacon. No free sausages, so got DTD on the overcharge. Then a guy came up behind me, and bought 3 lots of gammon/bacon and should have had them for £10 rather than £12. Not a great deal on that one - but mine came through okay. Been to another store just now and I have 20 triple packs of bacon and 20 packs of sausages:o Total cost £24.
The CS girl said that they had 7000 changes overnight.
I'm guessing she is not telling the truth.
If that was the case the store would have been better off closing for a bit to sort stuff out, or putting a sign up at the door explaining that due to technical issues DTD was not happening. That would have covered their back legally. In the store where I work the SM goes mad if there is more than 5 DTD each day, so 7000 I think he would have sacked most of the staff and half the managers. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

I think the actual colour is Imperial Blue, if this is not the purple one then it is another one to look out for as Imperial Blue is priced at 1p too.
BTW I got 9 Roses at Bradford Extra on Great Horton Road, but no Mice they did not stock any of the colours. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
For those having arguments and refusals at the checkout,
Id advise you to firstly call Customer Services on 0800 505555 to make a complaint and the also put it in writing to the top man
philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com.. I did this last week regarding my humiliating experience, im yet to receive a reply but it has only been a few days.
@ "ThumbsUpBoy" you should make a complaint, your brother was provoked and the SA was well out of order in regards to the china reference.
The security has no right to handle anyone in that way. If I was you id also speak to the police..Just for some advise in the first instance if nothing else.
@ "Laura Cello" you should complain too, the same happened to me but I was shouted at across the whole store..!
@ "Bootsalebargains" thanks for letting us know about what HQ said.
Ive done a little research and found the below
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1705049/Shoppers-flock-to-Tesco-for-1p-sale-bargains.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1314395/Tesco-shoppers-flock-bargains-sale-just-1p.html
The key point on both stories :-
A Tesco spokesman said: ‘This is no computer glitch. These are discontinued products which have gone beyond the "reduced to clear" period.
'Our view is it is better these items are sold rather than being thrown away.
'It is completely random as to whether people come across the 1p items. But there are going to be some lucky customers out there who find the most amazing bargains.'
Anyway after my first and failed attempt last week I tried again.. No Roses left but the shelf had been restocked at some point..
However I came across a Mouse and successfully purchased it.. Im no longer a 1p virgin... :T:rotfl::T

I agree with some of that. Personally I wouldn't start swearing - that gives an excuse. However if a security guard even laid a finger on me, whilst I was not doing damage or stealing from 'his' store - in the words of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman 'Big, big, mistake. Huge mistake'.
What could one do in that situation? Get compensation?0 -
You must have missed my post on this on the previous page!
( they are actually 80 per pack, not 100)
And to whoever asked about whether they smell nice and are any good for sticky fingers, well they don't smell of anything really and and they wipe!
For me 9p compared to well £1.50 a pack for johnsons brand is a no brainer!
I bought 24 packs today for £2.26!
Was looking out for these, unfortunately the shelf was totally cleared. Guess another trip to Mr. T's tomorrow then.I hate twitches, but I LOVE glitches!!!0 -

can someone inform tesco how to spell wireless when they complain.....lol0 -
No bargains (mice, roses, Kokos, noodles, Harpic, nuts, baby wipes/bath) to be had in Lincoln (top) but I did notice that Tesco Value curry sauce has gone up from 8p to 20p and Tesco Value Cheddar cheese slices from 59p up to £1.51! I bought one of each of these recently to see if they were any good and actually weren't bad so went back to get some more and both have more than doubled in price!0

Thanks for providing that e-mail link. I sent them an email and got response pretty quickly and I hope they do look into the case seriously. The police were useless, they were trying to act like nothing happened and were threatening to charge my brother with public disorder for swearing.
