Im sure i heard something to do with an 'App' that you can get on your phone, that you can self scan items with and they come up with the prices... am i right about this and has anyone else used it?? - i seem to struggle with 2 kids and a trolly full of hopefull 1p items, carting them all over to the one lonely end of the store, to stand there and self scan each and every item to check the prices.. then remember what it says on the shelf.... haha... any tips anyone please?

The app is for iphone and called 'tescofinder' it's free, but I'm not sure yet if it recognises 1p items. The 2 which I scanned it couldn't find, but that could have been because they were out of stock in my local (you set a store as your 'homestore'). Next time I find a 1p item, I'll scan it instore and see what it says, unless someone else beats me to it :)

Righto. There are a few different boxes of Tesco finest Belgian chocolate. Mine have no ribbon on them. They are in a flat square green box. 200g. Barcode 5 010204 319537. Best before Jul 2011.

They are priced up on a White label at £2.50 but scan at £5.
    Dtd makes em free!!

am seriously !!!!!! off with tesco. i found some of the 1p tin pencil cases. i got 3, then got caught up in the beer glitch. 2 hours later i went back and tried to get some more pencil cases, these were for charit shoe boxes at xmas. and was told they aint on the system. i said i brought some 2 hours earlier, i was basically called a liar, i then produced my reciept. and was told "dont matter you still aint having them" they aint on the system so have to GO IN THE BIN!:eek:

how can tesco seriously chuck something in the bin, that aint outta date, and a customer is willing to pay cold hard cash for? i am ringing cs later . see what they say. i asl dont understand how something can come "off the system" in 2 hours. this was just after the beer glitch.

What were they doing on the shopfloor if they were not for sale????? I think GO IN THE BIN will actually be 'go to the staff'.

Nervous I walk to the checkout, trying to appear all nonchalant with my fruit, milk, cereal and 18 mini boxes of roses. Looking for the best check out assistant, one that appears uninterested. I see one in the distance, but only the back of her head as she's busy talking to her colleague.

I load my items on the belt and watch it slide down.

She turns around and I'm faced with a sour trout. Crap.

I smile and make a joke that I only came in for milk. She laughs and says why so many chocolates then? I smirk. She scans them. Looks confused then asks if I've left any on the shelf for her.

    Bingo!!!

    Thanks guys!!!

I'm from Poole and I usually post if I have found anything.....or not to save people a wasted trip, like yesterday when I found the Roses but no sweetcorn or rim blocks to be seen. Where abouts down south are you from? :)
  • Shoreham by sea, found my second batch of Roses today after clearing the shelf earlier in the week- thanks shelf stockers, any more?!! :)

Tried the Tesco finder App and it didnt detect any so I almost didnt bother checking...

There are a few of the 'right' Harpics but I have enough now so left for someone else.

Belgian chocs, after hefting a full box down from the top shelf (no mean feat for a titch!) was disappointed to find they scanned at £5 and not 49p - glad I'd only taken 2 to self scan or could have been a bit embarrassing!!
