1p finds at Tesco thread

Im sure i heard something to do with an 'App' that you can get on your phone, that you can self scan items with and they come up with the prices... am i right about this and has anyone else used it?? - i seem to struggle with 2 kids and a trolly full of hopefull 1p items, carting them all over to the one lonely end of the store, to stand there and self scan each and every item to check the prices.. then remember what it says on the shelf.... haha... any tips anyone please?

My haul - sorry shopping at TESCO AYR

3x peanuts @ 22p
12 x Roses @1p.

As far as I know there is no price checker in store so I took it to the M& V desk - along with thorntons moments and harpic - they were full price :-( lol! The lady took the roses off me and said - oh they need to come off sale because they are scanning at a penny! I said oh, ok thanks anyway and nearly actually ran to the aisle to pick up the rest of them lol!
En route I passed the same lady who was asking a manager and he took one look at me and said to her - yeah let the girl have them, but whatever she leaves on the shelf waste them and opne them for staff!

Its amazing how much half a dozen sweets for a penny amuses us all isnt it? lol! - and I had the cheek to buy cream cakes reduced too lol!

p.s there was plenty of peanuts left for anyone else in the area - but the roses will probably be taken off by now.

I found the roses for the first time today in 2 different stores, picked up 8 @1p in the first store and then 19@1p in the second store. Kids want them in their lunch box instead of a choc bar which suits me:)

This is my first penny find in a long time so thanks to all for posting.

I should mention I used the self service till for the second store and as I rang the roses in I did feel like I was being watched as the only available till was next to the SA monitor.

i have never been but know someone who had the dtd on the sausages and had 4 boxes of the duplo/lego
cs was disgusting there had to argue for over an hour with them for the dtd even with the managers at 12.20 in the morning. no one know the policy every time a new member of staff got involved their story on the dtd policy differed to the next lol they stood their ground and got it back.

yatesybaby - Thankyou for that.. sorry i dont know how to quote. - to be honest, it doesnt surprise me in the slightest that they didnt know what was going on... they dont seem to know what day it is in there most of the time...... but thanks for the heads up.. if i find any DTD items, i will be sure to go in fully prepared!! they wont know whats hit them once i get into this bargain hunting buisiness.

Went to my local, bought 10 boxes of Tesco Finest Belgian Choc 200g. SEL was £1.25 - scanned at £5

Got DTD no probs!

Best bit - I GET PAID TO EAT CHOCOLATE, YAYYYYYY

(Got 10 boxes as they will do for teachers at the end of year .. well a few boxes will anyway, lol)
