I would go back, request to see the manager and ask them, privately, if they would sell them to you (or give them if he's generous!) for your charity. Explain the situation and say you were very disappointed to be spoken to like that by the staff. If he says yes then great and if not then write a complaint to head office about the staff treatment of basically calling you a liar. I would ask manager first though and complain to him, as he might have the power to give you the pencil cases before they get "thrown away" *cough* sold to staff *cough*. HTH

am waiting for the managaer to get out of "a meeting" which was meant to end at 10am, but as its 10.15 i think thats another untruth.

but the chappie on the phone was agreeable that chucking them was awful. i dont mind paying for them (1p!)but too just chuck them is disgusting.

so happy, jus back from tesco bought 4 boxes of tesco finest belgian chocs sel said £1.25 but went through at £5.00. lovely lady at customer services gave me £30 dtd without me asking, and removed the sel. 4 boxes of chocs and £10 extra wow, few more left but i didn't have the guts to take those too.

Thanks to everyone on here - I found my first 1p item yesterday!!!
A single box of bashed choc brazils stuffed beside the rest of the chocs lol! I grabbed them and tried a couple of the harpics and took them to the price checker - but alas it was only the brazils that were 1p!

I am venturing out to Tesco Ayr today - anyone found any bargains in there - or anyone know how I can find out if there is a price checker in store?

Tesco are hiding the Roses :mad:

Went in late last night and I saw a full box of the mini roses in the cage thingy, I tried to get them out but couldn't as they where about half way down and stuck, so I thought oh well, I'll go back in the morning and grab them.

Went back this morning and nothing, not even a gap on the shelf where they should be. Checked everywhere, up, down.:eek:

Still no corn, no more peanuts, no more harpic.

I feel cheated today

well. today was my first baragin hunt to Ts..... i wnt to the Walsall store, a little booklet in hadn where i had written down the descriptions and barcodes of the items that were 1p.......... but could i find any??... nope!!!!
Thought i got lucky with the KOKO chocs, as found looooads on the shelf, but none were discounted..... boooo.

did find some Gilette Fusion Razors though.. think they had 6 pound something off, reduced to 3 quid.... so baught two, treated myself to a bounty choccie bar and left. this Tesco-ing is harder than it looks.....
