Looking at the fab, illustrated pennyitems doc, I have noticed that the 2 princes items are in the same packaging (light and dark blue). Whilst searching for them, I have noticed that princes are still doing these items but have updated the packaging on them so the new ones are not 1p. My point is, I bet there are loads of other 1p princes items if you just look for the old packaging!

I went to buy the Slid yesterday and noticed that the can was vertical and the one in the PDF is horizontal

The vertical can came up at full price, therefore these types are the full price ones!

think there's some confusion here....

you've got princes there @ full price.

it's john west sild that's a penny; hence the difference in vertical/horizontal positioning and the price!

Right just off to Mr T to see what I can find.

I'm guessing my best plan is to look for anything reduced already then take to self check out and scan.

If its not reduced again I can reject it at the till, must make sure I have some items I do want!

Don't ask an assistant to price check for me, they may get funny if its 1p.

Will keep eyes peeled for anymore great bargains and update later.

Not penny finds, but I think this is store specific- and I know there are a few Thanet/WWX people loitering in here, so it seems the best place to share

Giffin ipad cases, various types/colours were down from >£20, to £1 today- plenty there, under the ipad display on the mezzanine.

Also, "how cool is that" stuff; USB mug warmer...50p. Text message alerter...50p...Scrolling message gadget, £2.50. These were all to the right of the mobile phone desk on the mezzanine; near the small TV display. Yellow SEL's

Many thanks posters. I got two lots of the 26 bag vale multipack crisps today for 45p each (SEL £1.83) and 8 boxes of the finest facial tissues for 27p each (no SEL). I wouldn't have looked if it wasn't for here so thank you all. x

I don't normally use the self service tills as I have lots of coupons, how do you reject an item at self service tills ?

after not being able to find many 1p items im doing well at the moment went to my local tesco metro this morning and found the john west soft cod roes so went and scanned one and yes was 1p:j:j so sent the oh back up and got 12 of them :j

point is they have never been there before just turned up on the shelve today so keep looking;)
also didnt have a sel;)

quite a few easter related items in store today with no SEL so I loaded my basket with one of each and went over to the price checker, most items (cupcakes, easter biscuit kits etc) were full price but the disney mini eggs were 1p so I emptied the shelf of 13 packs
