1p finds at Tesco thread

Just found some of the Toy story eggs in loal Tesco store.......bought six packs for the cchildren at school. First time ever 1p finds :j

Tried my best = even went to 3 different Tescos in the Milton Keynes area ( Kingston/Bletchley/Wolverton) - can confirm there are no mini or large eggs, no sunpat crisps, nothing on this list however, thanks to my3kidsrmyworld above post, all the shampoos/conditioners/hair care items are on 3 for 2, so I got

3 x value hairspray (300ml each)- 74p,
3 x value conditioner (500ml each) = 48p -
3x value shampoo (1 litre each!), 44p -
3 x value hair gel (300ml each), 30p - for the hubby

( i went at night, so self serve all seperate transactions to get the best deal they must have thought i was a bit odd....)

phew! - also got some other bits with my supersavvyme coupons, which i'm sure one i put into the tesco price check, will give me some money back, as i think they are cheaper at asda!

i know we have a list of the 1p items but what about the reduced items ?. so many bits and bobs on here its hard to keep up. should we list them and just bump it forward as the thread grows ?. so many bargains

I managed to find some of the colman's cheese sauce the other day and grabbed a fair few packets along with some regular items. My plan was that I'd strategically place my pram so it'd make it hard for the assistant to look at the screen, and use the advice from this thread, such as scanning the cheap items then doing the others so the 1p finds disappear off the screen.

I start scanning and get to my 3rd cheese sauce. Nothing... doesn't scan. Tried it again, wouldn't work. I look down and see my son with his toy bike running it around the bag weighing area. I tell him to stop it as the assistant comes over asking me if I'd like bigger bags. I blurt out no thanks... wish I'd taken them, the ones I got split and were tiny!

By this time I'd panicked and had started scanning a lettuce as well as over items, so now my shopping was a mixture of normal and the 1p sauces. Little one starts to play with his bike again, woman comes over as I practically drag him off the weigh area. I'm sure she saw the 1p items but she didn't say anything. By the 3rd time of telling him to get off the weigh area, I was pretty stressed out! :rotfl:

Yes, DEFINITELY mention any additional offers that are ridiculously cheap as these often turn into a penny items anyway!! I have benefitted from
extra comments as I hope others have benefited from mine in turn.
It is a lovely little community that are receiving mutual benefits.

For those that haven't heard, yesterday in the sun paper Tesco had coupOns in there which also had THE DOUBLE THE DIFFERENCE GUARANTEE!!! They have announced they will honour it for purchases today but you have to contact cs to get it!
