1p finds at Tesco thread

how hot is the tom and chilli packet ? im going to use it later but just askin as the kids wont like it to hot !

I think you could probably use it in cooking, I've used brown sauce and tomato sauce in bland recipes before to quickly add a burst of flavour, always use it in corned beef ash!

Not very hot at all - just adds a bit of flavour - we use in spag-bol etc

Depends. Items end up being at 1p to clear stock. If there happens to be an excess of stock, then you may find more appearing. But usually it will be a case of 'when it's gone it's gone'.

so fed up went out with list of 1p items in bag,been to 2 different tescos and out of all the items i only found the chili tomatoes in one of the tescos only had 3 left so grabbed them went to the self service till,and it scanned at 0.29p so quickly put the other 2 back on shelf,so i have come home after paying 0.29p for the chili toms feeling really ripped of having now lost 0.28p i did check the correct bar code as well,are these items just store pacific? really wanting the dog cushion not any to be had oh well ill keep on carrying the list around maybe one day ill find one.

All these items can be store specific - won't always be all stores.

If they scanned at 29p, then they have indeed be reduced, but not down to 1p (obviously)

I think that's a bit unfair - Tesco are not advertising these products at 1p - and by no means should anyone rely on them being that price - I would advise against even making the journey if the sole purpose of your visit is to find these items.

Then, you won't think of it as being ripped off if you don't get them, but will come away with a bargain if you do.

i was only joking it wasnt mean to be taken seriously at all,forgive me if you thought it was,i had to go out anyway to get flour and eggs.

ah, fair enough, my bad - misunderstood. Some people do take these sort of things WAY too seriously though! It should just be a bit of fun, chance for a real bargain.

Could I please politely point out that this thread has been hijacked in the past 24 hours by people holding conversations, discussing ideas and generally wasting the time of MSErs who simply want to know if any new 1p items have been posted.
