i think discussion is allowed on this thread; especially when it's relating to 1p items.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

I'm having a bit of trouble here.. i'm trying to make a list of 1p products i can take shopping with me.
i'm scanning through all the posts, but there are an aful lot of them. products are being breifly mentioned, but with little detail.
for example. people have mentioed the napolina tomatoes.... there are lots of differnt varieties. different weights selling at different prices..
I dont suppose any1 has a list that they're willing to share with me.
I have 2 things on my 1p list at the monent.
1) dormen fruite and nut mix, or chocolate - unkown price and weight, christmas variety.
2) tesco adzuki beans in water, 410g, 74p.0 -

1. nuts are 100g each. price was £1.79; now 1p.
2. adzuki beans are no longer 1p.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

I personally find it a pleasant thread with a community feel to it. Related chat is most welcome and adds to the success of the thread as it keeps it in the first few pages of the forum for new ones to benefit from.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

OK, so I'm a terrible lurker since DTD ended, but am very happy to report my first 1p item find today - the Colemans Cheese sauce. Had it for tea and it's good, and far easier than making it from scratch. Will keep looking! Thanks to everyone for posting their finds and the person who created the doc with the pics - it's great.0

Hi all, got my first 1p Tesco bargain today!!!! (just outside Dudley)
6 tins of Stagg barbeque chilli!!!
I was scanning the aisles and saw this variety (which I've not seen before) and thought i'd give it a chance after what I'd read on here.... So I scanned it and it came up as a penny!
I walked (think runned - with laptop and big bag of other work stuff/junk) with my basket to get 5 more (there were 12 altogether so left some for others) and went to pay.
DH had popped a cider into the basket for tonight but I was too scared to put it through together as 'the friendly assistant who sometimes shouts at you ' was on the self scan in our local store and I know if she would have to approve the cider then she might try to say I couldn't get the chilli....
So, I paid for the chilli and a bottle of mineral water together and put the cider through separately! Friendly assistant was ACTUALLY FRIENDLY  and all was good!
Feel really proud to be a 'penner'! (have put my receipt on the fridge!)
OMG my heart was beating though!Sometimes, I can't see the wood for the trees - or the couscous for the quinoa... 3 no spends so far for August 2011!0 -
Still lots of Tomatoes with Chilli in Portsmouth Extra (North Harbour / Port Solent) if anyone's near Pompey. I scanned some RTC items (toys) but they were all at the advertised price.
I heard back from heatherw_01 (board guide) and apparently only the forum team can amend MSE posts. I emailed the forum team and heard back that https://www.pennyitems.co.uk can't be added to the first post as "it's not been checked out and it would look official". Understandable I guess but it makes it difficult when the MSE team hijack a thread and nab the first post.

If a second one is started before we pip at at the post (still hoping that will be the case!), lets keep the 2nd post free for thepearce to add his document. At least then it can be updated near to the OP for newbies (and well seasoned forumites!) to find!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
