sorry can't read whole thread but wondered what the rule is with the 1p sales. i know they said they weren't allowed but then when it made the press the top brass said they were available for us to buy. has it changed back now ?

Its like most things with Tesco, you put them in your basket and as you approach the tills you enter the twilight zone!

I saw some plain black mugs on the top shelf with no SEL. I took one to the self scan to try and it came up with no price but just the messge "product withdrawn" so they came up to me and said they couldnt sell it. I've never seen that message before.

hi, i did have a quick search and I don't think has been posted. In Tesco sandhurst, the cartons of Tesco italian chopped tomatoes with chilli (390g) had a yellow shelf label of 14p , which I thought was pretty good so I picked up 3, but they scanned at 1p which was even better!

There were quite a few left on the shelf this morning.

Bloody hell thats expensive, the last time they was on offer they paid us 65p a carton to take em away! :rotfl:
