1p finds at Tesco thread

Not quite 1p, but the value pasta is being sold for 9p a pack!! (sorry if this isn't the right place for this)

I wouldnt worry about the date, a know of a factory whose main work is rubbing the date (expired one) of jars with pickled items in/tins and reprinting with a later date. Its jsut that the items last so long so a date a couple of years in advance is put on. I think I would be abit :S if I picked up somethign with a use by date 5 years away haha

I got a couple of packs of the Dormen yesterday for 1p each :j:j:j

either they'd sold out or tesco's panicked and removed from shelf but there were no aforementioned tinned tomatoes in sight in my store :(:(

Got 6 cans of the chopped tomatoes today, they had 2 tray being removed off sale and left in trolley, lets say people were helping themselves!!!

The harvest cup a soups were back up to 59p today

Usually the stuff that is reduced to 1p is so that the stores can waste it and bin it. Our local store refuses to sell the stuff that is centrally reduced to 1p.

Apparently it is wasted and sometimes then sold to staff for a higher price and the money goes to the staff social fund.

thanks i managed to get some of these today :j they were chocolate, fruit & nut mix christmas edition so i'm not sure if they are the same ones you got or not

hi walked past checkout 2day and the cashier scanned a pure black mug it came up as 1p she said to customer sorry cant sell it to you at 1p maybe worth scanning the mugs lol

Hi, Thanks OP, I found strips of these & the chocolate,fruit and nut mix in Aberdeen yesterday.
I also found packets of fruit flavoured Candy Canes scanning for 1p. 3 different types - Disney Cars, Mickey Mouse & Tinkerbell. These were hanging on strips in the soft drinks aisle. Sell by date on them is 31/03/2012 so good to put aside for Christmas
