Report it to tesco, maybe 1 of they're fridges isnt working correctly and not chilling the food to the right temp.
It does happen as ive seen it myself, the fridges are meant to be checked(well in sainsburys they are so i guess tesco is the same) regulary to make sure they are at the right temp0 -
And go and shop somewhere else! ;-)0

I've never had a problem with Tesco meat, but I've had this problem twice with Asda meat.
So I suspect it is indeed a case of one dodgy fridge in a particular store, rather than anything deliberate.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

It's not the vac-pac meat by any chance is it?
That always smells odd when you open it, but goes 'normal' after a few minutes.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Last time we bought a joint in Tesco it was green underneath and still had 2 days left before it's end by date. Got it refunded. We now use Morrisons instead, their joints are better value for money anyway plus they're cut on premises ... so you know (or hope) they're fresh. The Morrison joints are nice & bloody too, to me that means fresh, the Tesco joints look like they've been sucked by a vampire.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0

Depends on the meat. Bloody often means not aged properly and is a sign of cheaper cuts and production methods. I wouldn't want my 21 day-aged beef to be 'bloody'."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
No problem here with meat from Tesco's.Thank you all who post.0

best thing to do is buy meat from somewhere else and see if things improve!0

Depends on whether or not the prepacks are done in store. If they are sent in ready packed then the outside supplier is probably using meat that's older than it ought to be.
Report it to the store, pointing out that you as a customer and they as a retailer are both being cheated."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0
