My problem with them.
I ordered a harddrive a Seagate Sata drive which cost me £70.90. They delivered the wrong drive an honest mistake possibly.
So i pay to return as they don’t offer to get the drive back from me !! this costs me about £6.
So they receive the drive at there office in England the next day as I used special delivery.. after 2 weeks i pester them with emails asking why they haven’t started processing my refund a month passes still no refund.
Eventually they refund me but the refund is short they only refund £64.50 which i haven’t received yet.
I request the deposit back and the postage costs I even fax it over to them on 2 occasions as they requested.
Every time i email them about anything I get a standard email from them identical saying fax over my postage cost request. It appears that there CS who answer the emails don’t speak English as every email gets ignored.
So they are currently ignoring every email I send them , and it looks as if they have conned me out of my money even although they are blatantly breaking the distance selling act on 2 counts. http://www.oft.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/1E6F3C94-8BB0-4374-A65B-6281E030C3C9/0/oft698.pdf
Section 3.5 onwards.
So my advice is stay away avoid like the plague unless you don’t mind not being able to get a refund or having any possible way of contacting them in regards to a refund.
I have tried phoning there customer support you wait for 10-15 mins on hold to an 0870 number and the phone will either eventually be picked up or they will ask you your problem and the call will just disconnect , this has happened to me twice.
So how do I go about forcing them to comply with the distance selling act ?

I wont touch that company with my enemys bargepole let alone mine.
I send them a strongly worded letter to them and give them 7 days to refund the cost in full along with postages costs as itw as there fault or take them to the Small claims court.0 -
Keep trying. Pixmania are a French-based company and some employees have a limited grasp of English.
Keep your complaint letter short and to the point and the message will eventually get through! I had problems with their London collection point - eventually the chap behind the counter had to call the Paris HQ on his mobile to get advice! He rattled on in rapid French to his colleague - none of which I understood - so I could understand his frustration at equally not being able to understand me!
Good Luck.
P.S. As they are a French company, they may not be regulated by the same UK Distance Selling Regulations as other UK retailers. Somebody will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong, though...0 -

I didn't know that Pixmania were DSG either!
Interestingly enough they don't mention Red Cracker...
I have been put off by Pixmania's operation method; DSG need to tighten up the operation in line with the keen prices.0 -
I used them once - never again.
They 'lost' a car stereo somewhere en route from Paris, despite tracking information all the way to the UK.
Took me weeks of many phone calls and emails to get a refund. I hadn't even realized they were foreign when I ordered so it came as a shock when I had to sort out the mess.
Also they are apparently immune to the distance selling regs because they are based abroad.
Avoid!0 -
Thanks all.
Looking through Kelkoo i found these guys were selling the cheapest LCD tv's i could find, but through the Amazon Marketplace. I was still tempted though.
Cheers for the warnings.0 -
Have to agree with all the above, they're so abysmal it's unbelieveable.
We had a printer delivered from them that didn't work, they collected it 2 days later. They then took 2 days to ship it to Coventry (strange as we live there) and nearly 2 months later, after several letters and complaints, we're only just getting a refund sorted (still haven't got it though).
Steer clear if you've got any sense and pay that little bit extra to avoid all the hassles described above, trust me it's worth it!0 -
Everyone is mentioning the electronics, but anybody deal with them for photo printing? Surely thats done by a different set of staff. Any comments???0
