They also break the distance selling regulations. They happily charge your credit card (rather than just authorise) before they have the stock available.
My boss had his card charged and it took them over a month to get into stock a printer which the website claimed they stocked. He had one hell of a job getting a refund out of them!0 -
I ordered a a DSC-T9 off them via Amazon Marketplace, they had a misprice or something and the T9 was going for cheaper than the previous model! So I snapped it up and they confirmed it etc - saved myself quite a bit!
The next day they email me saying my order had been dispatched - a Sony DSC-T7!!!
Needless to say I was right on top of it, saved a screenshot of the Amazon page, their price (which later changed!) and the product and also a copy of my invoice. Their email was efficient and very helpful, instructed me to refuse delivery of the item and it was back in their hands shortly after. then the correct unit was sent out to me at the correct price and I adore it and got an amazing price for it.
Sometimes when companies seem to slack off, if you know how to play their game ad take advantage of it, you can come out saving loads. but I guess theres a risk of them being totally insanely incompetent and you lose out, but thats where your credit card company comes in and refunds you0 -
Not trying to mix things up but I have ordered two items from them on seperate occassions (a digital camera and an LCD monitor). I found them to be the cheapest prices available for each item and they delivered quickly etc. No problems at all.0

I don't like the sound of that.
I bought a DVD player from there a couple of months ago, but it won't play DVDs only music but it makes a loud humming noise so I requested a return coupon from them.
I received an email saying there are 2 pages to fill out but I only received one.
I replied to the email to be told that they don't accept emails to that address, so I searched their site for an email and only found a form. I submitted a query through that but got no reply (waited 2 weeks).
I then asked for another return coupon which had the same problem as before, so contacted them (using their online form) again - still no reply!
In the meantime I have rung them but if you find a time when they are actually open, nobody answers the phone!
I have just submitted my 3rd query via their website and told them I will threaten them with court action if nothing happens soon. Surprise, surprise I had a reply via email (which by the way, had no sender details or time/date stamp) asking me to return the dvd with invoice etc for a refund.
I am not confident I will get much back out of this, but I have learnt a lesson! It only cost £34 but after postage & returns etc i'll be lucky to get £20.0 -

I'm sure I did, do all CC's do chargebacks? If so, can I find out from Pixmania (if I can get hold of them) which card I used?
I suppose I could check my statements....0 -

As for which card you used, I guess it is look at the statements time.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

RightRevBod wrote:You paid for the goods (with your credit card) and have not received them. You gave the suplier multiple opportunities to correct the problem. So there should not be any problem getting the CC company to do the charge back. Having said that some are better than others...

I found out which one I used (checked online - was quicker than I thought!) however when I look at getting a refund they tell me to contact the merchant as they will do it! Its a mbna card - don't suppose anyone has any info (or find) if they do it?! I checked their site but seems they don't.0
