Iphone/ blackberry, need help, no idea where to start

Thanks all for advice. Think I will have to get him to go have look at each to see what is best for him. Think it will prob be a blackberry. Might have to talk him into a iphone for me though

Buy the new itouch out today. If you buy a pair of headphones as well with an inline microphone, then install Skype as a free application you can see and talk for free to anyone who has skype installed on their phone. And make free video calls. To do the video calls get Fring application on the itouch, put the Skype detail into the programme of your Skype username. It should import freely all your contact details/Skype pals usernames.
You dont call a number but just the username they registered with on Skype.
If they are on a laptop at home or have Three Mobile network phone you could call their Skype name and turn your itouch into a phone. No cost at all. Totally FREE.
In Fring you should be able to see and hear them on their laptop or their Three Mobile network phone if they put themselves on Skype for free.
Regularly phone my pals for free chats and phone video calls direct to their homes or Three Mobile handset. Hurry up and get one.:j

This only works if you are in range of a wifi network. You'd have to get a Mifi from 3 and pay for their service. If you're going to do that, you may as well get an iPhone and have the ability to make normal calls as well.

In addition, the new iPod Touch has a built in mic so you don't need the headphones.

I've got a blackberry and my partner has an iphone. Personally I would say the Blackberry is better for emails... but if you want to do some internet surfing, the iphone is much better
