Thanks for the encouragement Toottifrootti. I think why I have got distracted and stopped before was that I was trying to be perfect and do everything at once. Am definitely going to try and just do a little bit each day. I try and get my oldest two to help. I got so fed up with their bedrooms being a mess in the last week of the holidays that we had a day of tidying, just doing ten minutes at a time and after just one day, their bedrooms were tidy and I had hoovered the floor for the first time in ages. Now I try and get them to tidy their rooms each night before they go to bed and remarkably (sp?) their rooms are remaining tidy.

Right today I haven't done anything off the list yet, but I have so far:
Fed all animals (chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, cats, dog)
    Fed all children
Been shopping for food and animal food
Made husband an appointment at the dentist
Next am going to try and sort the bathroom and my ensuite out in just one HHC before lunchtime. Then this afternoon got to take DD1 and DD2 to their first football training session. Going to try for HHI at some point this afternoon but will be hard as have all kids off today. I think Wednesdays are going to be just a day for doing as much as possible but not being too bothered about getting it all done. (The kids over here don't go to school on a Wednesday but instead do sports activites)

Right getting geared up for a HHC in ten minutes!

    Hello everyone

I'm back from my conference - but the planned cleaning blitz has already been scuppered. :o While I was away, I was knocked down by a cyclist who didn't stop at the pedestrian lights for the 'green man'. So I fell very heavily in the road - I was carrying a laptop, my papers, my overnight bag and just couldn't save myself. I've banged my right arm rather hard - shoulder is sore - and my right hand was bleeding and embedded with tarmac chips....:( I'm sure nothing is broken, but my 4th finger is really swollen and bruised at the knuckle, making it awkward to grip things.

The cyclist didn't stop, but a couple of kind people got out of their cars at the lights to help pick up my bags and my mobile (which is really gouged :().

What a start to the day! I had to get cleaned up at the conference centre in the loos - clothes were covered in mud and blood - and then pretend that nothing had happened in order to do my talk (much later in the day, fortunately, but something like thing really shakes you up). No damage to my face, at least! (What a picture that would have been!)

So I'm doing some gentle tidying, and sorting out of paperwork today, because I don't want to wreck my shoulder any further. I've got a bit of driving to do later, too, but it should be OK.

Will get back to stuff soon - promise!

Hugs to all who need them
    MissH

    Morning

Ouch Miss H that sounds awful, hope you recover quickly and well done for still giving your talk.

Well I have used the recovery disc norton told me to make last night, took most of the morning to do a scan but everything seems ok so far.

Used the time wisely (for me :p) to do some bedroom clearance in our room and ta dah we have part of the floor back! It is going to be a WIP am pleased with what I have achieved so far.

Thanks for the suggestions on the parking ticket, was my fault so I will just put up and shut up. My luck I would challenge, end up in court and get an even bigger fine.

Just got to nip to the PO with an ebay sale, one buyer has decided to challenge my P&P charge saying so and so posts for less. Well go and buy fro so and so then!

Whilst I am out I shall see if I can get a painting framed, we bought a sea scape on honeymoon (12 years ago!) would be great to be able to hang it.

    Afternoon all,

Sounds like lots of hugs are in order for today - hugs to Mumto5, vanilla, lil_me, Miss Higgerty (ouch), lifeintermoil, Hellyboo, rachelet, seafarers_wife, AnW'sMum and anyone else who is feeling poorly, down or just wants one.

It also sounds like there is lots of flying going on - well done to everyone who has flown this week, particularly the newcomers - you're all doing really well!

Well I made a start on the bathroom yesterday when I vinegared the limescale in the sink. There is still a bit left, so I'm going to do some more on it today (we live in a hard water area, so the limescale builds up quite quickly).

Had a late get up today as I watched La Bamba last night, so after realising I wasn't going to get a call for supply, I went back to sleep for a bit. I've got to pop out to the shops at some point as I need to get ingredients to ice the carrot cake I made the other day - the plum bread is going down a treat. I may ask one of my friends if she wants to come over for a coffee tomorrow, as I doubt I'll be getting a call then either. I'm seriously considering getting a Saturday job or something to keep me busy, and keep the money rolling in, as at the moment, it's only rolling out!

Well I think I'm going to do a HHC challenge in a minute 12.45-1.15. Anyone care to join me?

    Love to everyone.
